MIN#DENVER2006-201 NEW!

EXCEPTIONAL! Huge specimen of Native Silver leaves on Quartz matrix!
This is without a doubt the largest and most impressive Silver I have ever seen
from the hard to find Silver Islet locality, Thunder Bay District, Ontario, Canada.
It measures an incredible 11.5 cm by 6.5 cm in size with Silver leaves of nearly
8 cm! It's also quite heavy which is no surprise considering the amount of Silver.

SUPERB! Glassy, gemmy, and incredible fine crystals of Hessonite Garnet with Diopside!
This is the little brother to the gorgeous Hessonite in Denver 2006 room 2! The crystals
are nearly as transparent and a little smaller but every bit as impressive. As you can see
in the lower photo, the backside of the specimen is completely covered with additional
gemmy Hessonites and the flash is incredible. Small Diopside crystals are present on
the front side matrix. From the Jeffrey Mine in Asbestos, Quebec, Canada.
Measures 3.5 cm by 4.1 cm in size with 1 - 1.4 cm Garnet crystals!

Price $4500

This incredible specimen is making its second appearance on the website and I'm

sitting atop the matrix. A smaller nodule of Fire Opal is located just to the left of the
Jelly Opals on this amazing specimen! Matrix Opals from Mexico are incredibly rare!

WOW! Huge doubly terminated Calcite crystal set atop matrix with other Calcite xls!
The top crystal measures over 23 cm from tip to tip! The entite specimen is large cabinet
and measures 19 cm by just over 23 cm in size. The larger yellow Calcite crystals sit atop
a cluster of smaller cream-white colored Calcite xls.
This specimen is from the Shimen Mine
in the Hunan Province of China. This locality is known for it's fine Realgar specimens and
if you look closer at both terminations of the largest crystal, you will red Realgar inclusions
(possible phantoms) inside the points! The close-up photos at bottom display both these
Realgar inclusions and the very obvious phantoming inside the crystal tips. Awesome piece!
Featured in the China Edition of The Mineralogical Record, Volume 38, No. 1 - Page 46.
