INCREDIBLE AND RARE!! A tremendous specimen of Native Wire Silver on massive Acanthite!
This was one of only two specimens that appeared at the Denver Mineral Show and I grabbed it
immediately. The story behind this 10 cm tall wire-rope is pretty amazing but from what I understand,
a small find of wire Silver was found in the late 1970's at the Dukat mine which is mainly known for its
massive Acanthite ore. One of the miners, at some risk to himself at the time, saved a few specimens
and put them into storage for posterity. The specimens were later sold and the two that I saw in
Denver were possibly the two finest of the small number hoarded some three decades ago. I can
honestly say I've never seen any others and only know of one other which is currently owned by
a dealer friend of mine (we split the find). I was struck by the grace and luster of this specimen
as well as the matrix (which I ALWAYS prefer with Silvers). Definately a unique opportunity!
Circa about 27 years ago (1979ish)
From the Dukat Mine, Dukat Gold-Silver Ore Field, Magadan Oblast, East Siberia, Russia.
Measures 12.4 cm by 5.6 cm by 3.6 cm in size.

MIN#DENVER2007-122 SOLD!

Gorgeous, gemmy rhombs of Rhodochrosite with Apatite, Fluorite, Tetrahedrite and Quartz!
Specimens of this quality have become almost impossible to find at the shows. This is a
collection piece from that rare pocket find of gemmy Rhodo and light green Apatite crystals!
The Rhodochrosite crystals are transparent with glassy faces and that great Sweet Home color.
The purple zoned Fluorites add a nice touch to what is already a beautiful crystal plate.
From Steve's Pocket, Fluorite Raise, Sweet Home Mine, Alma, Colorado.
Measures 6.5 cm by 8.4 cm in size.

Price $9500

MIN#DENVER2007-123 SOLD!

Awesome combo of Beryl var. Aquamarine with bi-color Fluorite on Muscovite and Albite!
I love these Aqua-Fluorite combos but it's so hard to find a good one with a complete
Fluorite crystal. This one is really nice and the Fluorite displays pretty pink with just
a light touch of green. The Aquamarines are perfectly terminated with glassy faces and
rehealed bottoms. I think the balance of this specimen is excellent as are the aesthetics.
From Nager, near Aliabad, Hunza Valley, Northern Pakistan.
Measures 9 cm by 10.5 cm in size.

Price $6500

MIN#DENVER2007-124 SOLD!

INTENSE FIRE!! Old specimen of precious Fire Opal in matrix!
I want to stress the word "old" because this specimen is at least 50 years old
and it is the older material from Lightning Ridge that many people consider to
be the best. Whether or not that is true, there's no doubt about the quality of
this specimen. The Opal displays the most intense array of flash and color that
one can imagine. Flashes of red, yellow, blue, green, purple, and orange roll
across the grayish-white Opal surface. I'm not sure if this specimen would be
designated as a semi-black but I do know that a gem cutter could cut at least
four stones of incredible quality and value from this piece. I like it as it is though.
Much better than the photo!!! Opal must be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
From Lightning Ridge, Finch County, New South Wales, Australia.
Measures 7.5 cm by 6 cm in size with a 5.5 cm by 3.2 zone of Fire Opal.

MIN#DENVER2007-131 NEW!

EXCEPTIONAL!! Superbly crystallized specimen of Native Silver with purple Fluorite!!
Not only are the Silver crystals incredibly sharp, the combination with Fluorite is VERY
RARE! I've seen dozens of Kongsberg Silver but I've never seen one with Fluorite.
Each Fluorite is transparent with a purple interior and while the bottom crystals were
flattened by the now removed matrix, the top crystals are complete with full glassy faces!
I can't imagine a more beautiful combination than cubic Silver crystals with purple Fluorite.
From the Kongsberg Silver Mine, Kongsberg, Buskerud, Norway.
Measures 4.2 cm by 5 cm by 5.2 cm in size.

MIN#DENVER2007-132 NEW!

EXCEPTIONAL!! Tremendous plate of Orange Quartz clusters on white Quartz matrix!
Also with Pyrite and Sphalerite crystals! This is the finest Orange Quartz I saw at the show
and honestly I think it was the only one I saw at the show. These specimen have become so
rare that I don't run into them very often unless they come from a private collection as this
one did. The hard white Quartz surface is covered with numerous clusters of deep orange
Quartz crystals with only a a few incomplete crystals and reheals. These specimens are usually
full of breaks and damage when found but this one is in great condition with superb aesthetics.
From the 2nd Sovietski Mine in Dal'negorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Russia
Measures 8 cm by 24.2 cm by 12 cm in total size.
