MIN#Denver2009-121 SOLD!

Stunning specimen featuring two super gemmy Indicolite Tourmalines with Lepidolite!
What a incredible miniature this is! I love Indicolites and the color combination of the blue
Tourmalines with pink Lepidolite can't be beat. Both crystals are perfectly terminated
and measure in at 3.3 cm and 3.2 cm respectively. The bottom side of the crystals
is also complete and is actually overgrown by Lepidolite. It looks to me like the
crystals came apart in the pocket at that spot, rehealed, and then were covered by
pink Lepidolite. Small portions of the original crystals can be seen there along with a
cast formed by the Lepidolite. A smaller Tourmaline crystal lays across the left side.

Teixerinha Mine, Itinga, Jequitinhonha Valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Measures 4.5 cm by 3 cm by total size.

MIN#Denver2009-123 NEW!

Exceptional combination of reddish-pink Fluorite crystals with Aquamarines on Muscovite!
I almost never see quality pink Fluorites from Pakistan on the market anymore. The really
good Fluorites came out years ago and have long since disappeared into private collections.
I was thrilled to see this piece at the Denver Show and the combination of Aquamarine
was an added bonus! The pink Fluorites above both measure around 5 cm in size and exhibit a
rich coloration to go along with the typical irregular and modified surfaces. I count three blue
Aquamarines to the lower left and this specimen could easily be displayed from either side.
I really like the display in the above photo but a horizontal Fluorite display is also great!

From the Haramosh Mountains, Baltistan, Northern Areas of Pakistan.
Measures 10 cm by 8.4 cm in size.

MIN#Denver2009-125 NEW!

Pretty combination of Indicolite Tourmaline with plum purple Lepidolite!
There are actually five terminated Indicolite crystals on this specimen and all are very
transparent and gemmy. The largest crystal has a drusy dusting that adds sparkle to
the specimen but could be removed if so desired. It measures 2.4 cm in total length and
contrasts beautifully with the reddish-purple Lepidolite crystals which make up the matrix.

From the Pederneira Mine, Sao Jose da Safira, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Measures 8 cm by 6.8 cm in size.

EXCEPTIONAL! Wonderful cabinet specimen of Golden Calcite crystals on Calcite!
The two largest Calcites are both doubly terminated and glow golden-yellow under lighting!
They're also very well matched, measuring a tad over 8 cm each. The center Calcite is
perfectly terminated as well. I consider this one of the best Gallatin cabinet specimens I've seen!

From Gallatin Canyon, Gallatin County, Montana.
Measures 8.4 cm by 13.5 cm in size.

MIN#Denver2009-134 SOLD!

Unique specimen featuring two Malachite "bullseyes" surrounded by Chrysocolla!
The specimen is stunningly beautiful but it's also pretty unique because I can't recall seeing
another double ringed Malachite slab. The two Malachite rings are naturally attached with
numerous interior rings and loads of chatoyant luster. This specimen reminds me of the
Argentinian Horn Rhodo rings and would make a great companion to one of those I think.

From the Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire).
Measures 8.4 cm by 5.4 cm by 1.5 cm in size.

MIN#Denver2009-135 NEW!

Awesome combination of olive-green Gyrolites on Okenite puffs!
It's hard not to stare at this specimen! Both minerals sit atop a Laumontite crystal matrix and the Okenite
puffs are in great condition with only some slight pressing along the top of the highest puffs. This doesn't
bother me in the least and appears to be of natural origin and matrix influenced. Combos of this sort are rare.

From Bombay, Maharashtra State, India.
Measures 5.7 cm by 7.4 cm by 4.5 cm in size.
Comes with a custom made, labeled base
Price $1500

Denver2009-306AmethystQuartzMinaLaLimeraUruguay.jpg (200253 bytes)

MIN#Denver2009-140 NEW!

UNIQUE!! Large cabinet specimen featuring white centered Amethyst casts!
I haven't seen another Amethyst like one, that's for certain. The crystals are large and the largest
is doubly terminated. For some reason, the vibrant grape-jelly purple coloration is missing from the
centers and the crystals turn milky white! Smaller Amethyst crystals then grew atop the white portions,
creating a surreal appearance. If this wasn't strange enough, all the crystals are casts after Calcite
which has long since etched away, leaving a hollow interior in every Amethyst. The largest, doubly
terminated crystal actually has a center hole that entends all the way through to the backside,
making it a completely hollow Amethyst! The matrix between the large crystals is covered by smaller,
very purple gem Amethysts. I can't remember the last time an Amethyst evoked so much conversation.

From Mina La Limera, Artigas, Artigas Department, Uruguay.
Measures 10.8 cm by 17.2 cm by 12 cm in total size.

Ex. Edward David Mineral Collection
