EXCEPTIONAL!! Amazing specimen
featuring one of the largest Amazonite crystals I've seen!
The main upright Amazonite crystal measures 11 cm in
height! It is also perfectly terminated
with the deepest, most incredible turquoise-blue coloration imaginable. The fat Smoky
Quartz
in the front adds a wonderful contrast and is also terminated. It features a darker top
and lighter
base which really suites the specimen I think. Smaller but equally as fine Amazonite xls
can be
seen to the lower right side of the largest crystal. As is the norm for
Smoky-Amazonites, this
specimen has been expertly repaired. The large crystal of Amazonite is totally complete
though.
From Sentinel Rock, El Paso County, Colorado.
Measures 12 cm by 16 cm by 8 cm in size.

SUPERB! Fine crystallized specimen of
Native Gold with Arsenopyrite rising atop matrix!
The crystallization is sharp and distinct, with dozens of lustrous Gold crystals in
cluster.
This is one of the few affordable examples of crystallized Gold you'll find from the
Mockingbird.
Gold of this sort is extremely difficult to photograph and the specimen is even better in
person!
From the Mockingbird Mine, Maripose County, California.
Measures 6.5 cm by 3.7 cm in size.

GORGEOUS deep red rhombs of Rhodochrosite
atop needle Quartz with Pyrite and Tetrahedrite!
This specimen has that rich cherry-red color that makes Sweet Home Rhodos world famous! It
also
has more than its fair share of gemminess and flash! These glassy rhombs are well placed
among the
Quartz needles and further accented by lustrous gray Tetrahedrite and golden Pyrite
crystals. No
damage to speak of, the rhombs are complete and sharp. A good looking miniature from the
show!
From the Pincushion II Pocket, Fluorite Raise, Sweet Home
Mine in Alma, Park County, Colorado.
Measures 5 cm by 7.4 cm in size.

Cabinet sized plate of Rhodochrosite,
Hubnerite, Tetrahedrite, and needle Quartz!
Beautiful combination plate with a lot of isolated
red rhombs of Rhodochrosite! There are
more than a dozen of the translucent rhombs scattered atop the bed of fine needle Quartz
crystals. Toss in some Hubnerite blades (far left) and sparkling Tetrahedrite clusters and
you have an impressive large plate with a lot of eye appeal but at a very reasonable
price!
From the Hedgehog Pocket, Main Stope Drift, Sweet Home
Mine, Alma Colorado.
Measures 10 cm by 15.7 cm in size.

Large specimen of vibrant pink Kunzite
with Quartz points and Albite accenting!
This beautiful specimen is doubly terminated and the Quartz crystal is nearly pristine
with a full point. The color of the Kunzite is quite strong (so many large Kunzites tend
to be pale) and the crystal faces are well striated and glassy. There are the normal
internal craze lines and the bottom termination is complex due to the influence of
Albite matrix (now removed). I once owned a specimen that had a similar appearance
with a large Quartz in association so I was very pleased to find this one at the show!
From Mawi, Laghman Province of Afghanistan.
Measures 17 cm by 11 cm by 9.6 cm in size.

Attractive cabinet plate of Smoky Quartz
atop Amazonite crystals!
This is an older specimen from Teller County and it exhibits over half a dozen terminated
Smoky points sitting atop fine crystals of turquoise-colored Amazonite. Both of these
minerals
sit atop a matrix of Albite with Manebach twinning. It's very important to note that this
specimen
is UNREPAIRED, which is a major rarity when it comes to cabinet sized Smoky-Amazonites.
This specimen was found complete and in one piece and remains so to this day. It dates
back to
Tucson 1985 where collector Marvin Rausch purchased it and was also once in the Richard
Kosnar
Collection which probably means it dates even earlier than that. Most likely from the mid
1970's.
From the RAK Claim, Teller County, near Lake George, Colorado.
Measures 8.5 cm by 10.8 cm by 7.8 cm in size.

Gemmy rhombs of Rhodochrosite with Golden
Fluorite and Quartz!
The rhombs are complete, measuring 1.3 cm and 1.2 cm in size.
Smaller rhombs accent the
main crystals as do gemmy golden-purple Fluorite cubes with white inclusions on the left
sides.
These white inclusions are characteristic of the Porcelain Pocket and were the reason for
the name
due to their resemblance to white porcelain. Overall this specimen is in great shape with
only one
incomplete rhomb on the left edge which could easily be trimmed away. The color and luster
are great!
From the Porcelain Pocket, Fluorite Raise, Sweet Home Mine, Alma,
Colorado.
Measures 4 cm by 5.5 cm in size.

Fine specimen of crystalline Native
Gold on Quartz matrix!
Dodecahedrons
and trigons are everywhere on this specimen. The Gold above the Quartz
matrix is basically all crystalline and there must be hundreds of crystals in the
mix. The specimen is
heavy at 50.4 grams (a little shy of two ounces) and priced very reasonably considering
gold value.
From the Eagle's Nest Mine, Placer County, California.
Measures 5.5 cm by 4 cm in size.

Colorful combination of blue Azurite

Mexico.

translucent
and glows when given a backlight. The habit is octahedral with a myriad of light
reflecting crystal faces.

Aesthetic specimen featuring a GEM Golden
Topaz crystal with Smoky Quartz points!
I love the look of this specimen! The color richness of both the Topaz and Smoky Quartz
is stunning and very obvious in the above photograph! The small white crystal sitting
atop the Golden Topaz is actually a tiny colorless Topaz crystal. The Golden Topaz
is pure perfection with sharp, complete faces. The Smoky is also perfectly terminated.

Fine doubly terminated crystal of Beryl
var. Aquamarine with Albite!
This beautiful specimen exhibits a misty-blue, almost cat's-eye appearance in the
center portions and caps off with a crystal clear termination. Upon closer inspection,
it appears that a smaller, translucent Aquamarine crystal was overgrown by a larger,
more transparent crystal creating one heck of a phantom in the middle and at the top!

VERY RARE!! Exceptional specimen of Native
Gold on matrix from Leadville, Colorado!
I can count the number of Leadville Gold specimens I've seen in the
past decade on one hand
and I've never seen a specimen that even comes close to this one! Not even in the
Leadville
or Denver Mineral Museums. The Native Gold is a mesh of fine semi-crystalline growth and
is quite solid all the way through. In other words, there is no give to the mesh. It sits
atop
the Quartz matrix and peeks out in veins all the way down to the bottom. This impressive
specimen was found in July of 2008 by Ed Muceus during a collecting trip at the Ibex #3.
From the Ibex #3 Mine, Leadville, Lake County, Colorado.
Measures 5.5 cm by 4 cm by 1.6 cm in total size.

Elegant cluster of Prehnite
"fingers" ps after Laumontite!
The backside of these elongated crystals are coated with a white Zeolite, making the
specimen displayable
from either side. I prefer the side shown above which shows the Prehnite with the white
dusting at the edges.
In good shape with only a few missing terminations -very unusual for a plate of this size
and so many fingers!

Glassy crystals of reddish-brown Uvite
Tourmaline sitting atop clear Magnestite!

actually twinkle
when rolled from side to side under lighting. The colorless Magnesite really allow the
color to pop through!

complete and the shiny Sphalerite matrix has been perfectly trimmed to best display it
near top center.

Beautiful cabinet plate of patterned
bluish-green Smithsonite!
I love the look of this specimen! The color is a wonderful sea-green and the patterning in
the lower right corner really gives the specimen some character! There's also a very nice
variance from darker hues to lighter hues along the Smithsonite surfaces. The surface
is what a painter would call "eggshell" with a slight luster over a delicate
texture. This
is easily one of the best large plates I've seen from the Kelly Mine in recent years.
From the Kelly Mine, Magdalena District, Socorro County, New
Mexico.

First we had a Copper Scorpian and now a Copper Cactus! You could build a unique looking
collection with these Native Copper specimens! This specimen is also composed of elongated
crystals, with the largest having the added bonus of green Epidote and Quartz along the
top
left side. Overall, this is a very impressive old timer from Michigan with great crystal
form!

Pretty specimen of Turquoise-colored
Smithsonite!
A pleasing specimen with tighter botryoidal mounds and a fine, glossy surface.

feature
and does not go through to the backside which is very solid. No surface contacts to
speak of.
