Killer combo featuring a gemmy dark green
Emerald with a translucent Parisite on Calcite!
Parisite is a rare earth carbonate mineral that sometimes appears with Emeralds in
Colombia
but to my knowledge, only the La Pita Mine features gem quality Colombian Parisite. This
is the first miniature I've seen that has both the Emerald and Parisite side by side so I
consider it to be somewhat unique. The Emerald has that deep, dark green color that
the La Pita Mine is famous for and the Parisite can be best described as having a dark
amber color with resinous surfaces. It has complete faces on the viewing side with
partial faces on the underneath side where it terminated against Calcite, creating a
rougher appearance. I think this would be a must specimen for any Emerald collector.
From the La Pita Mine, Boyaca Department, Colombia.
Measures 2.8 cm by 5 cm in total size.
Price $3500

Another WOW specimen! Glowing, terminated
Kunzite crystal atop matrix!
The color of this gemmy Kunzite is amazing and becomes even more intense
when the specimen is rotated on its axis and shown lengthwise - a feature that
makes Kunzite a very special mineral among gem collectors. The above photo
illustrates the gemminess of the crystal since the black background can be seen
through the middle of the crystal itself. A superb matrix Kunzite in every regard.
From Pech, Laghman Province, Afghanistan.
Measures 9 cm by 5.1 cm in size.
Price $2450
