but this specimen is the exception. It is as close to perfect as you can find with superb aesthetics.

This material appeared at Tucson this year and I consider it to be much better than the
Rhodonite specimens that came out of Peru some years ago which were basically
nothing but Rhodonite. This new material is frequently seen with Pyrite or Pyrrhotite
and it appears on matrix! The color isn't bad either. This is the first of two that I have.
