New Specimens from Tucson Show 2008!

Tucson2008-303dioptasecalcite.jpg (72309 bytes)

MIN#TUCSON2008-181 NEW!

EXCEPTIONAL! A tremendous example of Dioptase on Calcite from Tsumeb!
I consider this to be the finest Dioptase-Calcite miniature I've ever seen or owned.
It has everything you could ask for with a pristine 2 cm Dioptase crystal, doubly
terminated and lustrous, set atop small Dioptase crystals and a backdrop of white
Calcite rhombs. The Calcite rhombs are further accented by smaller Dioptase
crystal drusy and are arranged so perfectly in the way they step up atop one
another above the main Dioptase in front. This is truely a work of art and a
first rate competition miniature in every respect. Even better in person!
From the Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Namibia, SW Africa.
Measures 5 cm by 4.3 cm in size.

MIN#TUCSON2008-182 SOLD!

Gorgeous, doubly terminated crystal of Red Beryl on Rhyolite!
This crystal has plenty of gem and measures 2 cm in length
. It sits perfectly atop the
Rhyolite matrix with two complete terminations. If you look closely with a loupe, you

or take away from the large Beryl. I only mention them for accuracy of description.
