MIN#TUCSON2008-81 NEW!
EXCEPTIONAL LARGE CABINET!!
Without a doubt, the largest and most impressive German Fluorite plate I've ever offered!
The crystals are a deep blue and change from blue to darker blue to purple depending on
the
light source. This plate has some of the most intense color change I've seen in a
Fluorite.
There are some scattered bumps and a few cleaves but all are minor and to be expected
on a plate of this size and age. All in all, a VERY impressive piece and a MAJOR Fluorite!
From the Beihilfe Mine (Grube Beihilfe), Halsbrücke, Freiberg
District, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany.
Classic specimen measuring a huge 21.5 cm by 25.3 cm in total size!
Ex. Perry Collection - Original hand written label from
German Collection is pictured above
Price $17,500

EXCEPTIONAL COMBO!!
A very rare specimen of Hessonite Garnet over green Chrome Grossular Garnet on Prehnite!
I've not seen another specimen that even comes close to this one. The combination is rare
in
itself but the overall presentation and condition of the crystals makes this a museum
quality
specimen. The Prehnite surfaces are nearly pristine with no distracting scuffs or bumps.
In
the top photo, you can clearly see where one of the Hessonite crystals is literally being
hugged
by the Prehnite as it wraps around the Garnet. As for the Garnets, they are incredibly
lustrous
and gemmy with a lovely cinnamon coloration accented by green interiors. Unique and
aesthetic!
From the Jeffrey Quarry, Asbestos, Richmond County, Quebec,
Canada.
Measures 8 cm by 6 cm in size.
Price $3750

Classic specimen of terminated Green Beryl
attached to a larger Green Beryl!
The larger Beryl is a shard but the upright Beryl is actually doubly terminated!
The top termination is textbook and the bottom termination is partially there
but didn't grow to completion due to matrix interference. This crystal is also
translucent when held to light. A very good representation of a Maine Pegmatite!
From Bennett's Farm, Orchard Quarry, Maine.
Measures 4.7 cm by 3.8 cm in size.

KILLER Pseudomorph!!
Chalcocite ps after Covellite crystals from Butte!
I've found some incredible pseudomorphs here in Tucson but this is my favorite of all!
Look at how well defined the Chalcocite crystals are as they mimick the thick blades
of Covellite. The golden accents of Pyrite at the edges add the perfect finishing touch.
From the Leonard Mine, Butte, Silver Bow County, Montana.
Measures 4.2 cm by 3.7 cm in size.
