MIN#TUCSON2008-161 SOLD!
Stunning plate of vibrant orange Scheelite
crystals with clear Fluorite on Muscovite!
One of the finest plates I've seen in quite some time as most have disappeared from the
market in recent years. However, this plate would have stood out even during the Scheelite
heyday due to the intense color of the Scheelites and the number of Fluorite xls in
association.
From Ping Wu, Sichuan Province of China.
Measures 9 cm by 10.4 cm in size.
Ex. Steve Smale Collection
Price $5850

MIN#TUCSON2008-162 SOLD!
Very aesthetic mix of Smoky Quartz points
with Amazonite crystals, Fluorite, and Cleavelandite!
This cabinet sized specimen is an excellent representative for this new pocket because it
has
a little of everything. The points are all complete with full terminations and only the
slightest
of contacts on the tip of the second smallest crystal. The Amazonite crystals have a
beautiful
turquoise coloration and are accented by white Cleavelandite and lavender crystals of
Fluorite.
As is the norm, this specimen does have repairs but you would be hard pressed to find
them.
From the Hawk Feathers Pocket, Smoky Hawk Mine, Florissant,
Teller County, Colorado.
Measures 7.2 cm by 11 cm by 7.2 cm in size.
Price $5500

MIN#TUCSON2008-164 NEW!
Superbly crystallized specimen of Native
Gold with Arsenopyrite rising up above matrix!
The crystallization is sharp and distinct, with dozens of lustrous Gold crystals in

This is one of the few affordable examples of crystallized Gold you'll find from the
Mockingbird.
Gold of this sort is extremely difficult to photograph and the specimen is even better in
person!
From the Mockingbird Mine, Maripose County, California.
Measures 6.5 cm by 3.7 cm in size.
Kevin Ward Personal Collection
Price $10,500

Exceptional small cab featuring a gemmy
Golden Topaz snug between Quartz points!
This is really a nice piece! The Topaz is in perfect condition with a strong golden color.
The main Quartz crystals are very glassy with full terminations. They are also quite
gemmy. Everything sits atop a matrix of Microcline with small Cleavelandite blades.

MIN#TUCSON2008-170 NEW!
Intensely iridescent blades of Covellite
with Pyrite crystals!
The color of these blades is incredible and I tried my best to capture it in the photo.
What I did capture was the beautiful bluish-purple hue and glassy luster of each
blade. However, if you blow on the specimen, the blue turns to a gorgeous violet-
purple. Covellite is really an amazing mineral! The blades are accented by small
clusters of well defined Pyrite octahedrons. I also see some tiny blades of Barite.
The edges of the blades are complete with the usual irregularity on a few.
This specimen sits atop a competition stand with a label on the front.
From the Leonard Mine, Butte, Silver Bow County, Montana.
Measures 3.8 cm by 2.6 cm in size.
Price $2500

MIN#TUCSON2008-171 NEW!
Beautiful specimen with nearly a dozen
crystals of Sulphur on Aragonite and Calcite!
The matrix appears to be composed of Calcite and Aragonite seams in matrix with
a few scattered rhombs here and there. It gives the specimen a really nice
"vuggy"
look with the largest gemmy Sulphur crystals at top and in the foreground.
From the Agrigento Province of Sicily, Italy.
Measures 9.2 cm by 6.5 cm in size.
Price $1250

MIN#TUCSON2008-172 NEW!
Rich cluster of lustrous Crocoite crystals
with scattered matrix!
This is an impressive specimen with more than its fair share of flash. The
crystals are clustered but not "bunchy" so the piece is stable and aesthetic
both.
From the Adelaide Mine, Dundas, Tasmania, Australia.
Measures 6 cm by 8.3 cm by 4.5 cm in size.
Ex. Charles Leavitt Collection
Price $1450

MIN#TUCSON2008-174 NEW!
Beautifully marked cabinet sized plate of
Smithsonite!
I love the look of this specimen! The color is a wonderful sea-green and the patterning in
the lower right corner really gives the specimen some character. There's also a very nice
variance from darker hue to lighter hue along the Smithsonite craze lines. The surface
is what a painter would call "eggshell" with a slight gloss over a light
texture. This
is easily one of the better large plates I've seen from the Kelly Mine in recent years.
From the Kelly Mine, Magdalena District, Socorro County, New
Mexico.
Measures 12 cm by 15.3 cm in size.
Price $3500

Incredible large cluster of Schorl
Tourmaline crystals on Quartz matrix!
These crystals are super glossy and lustrous with striations galore. The largest Shorl
crystal measures 5 cm by 5 cm by 4 cm in size but there must be at least 20 crystals in
all on this cabinet sized plate! The matrix is a mix of small Quartz crystals and Albite.
Definately one of the best to come from Charlie Key's collection.
From the Erongo Mountains in Namibia, SW Africa.
Measures 10 cm by 10.6 cm by 14.5 cm in size.
Ex. Charlie Key Collection
Price $3450

Measures 4.8 cm by 5.5 cm in size.
