Gorgeous Blue Cap Tourmaline on Golden Quartz!
A stunning example of the classic Blue Cap Tourmalines from California!
When you add in the fact that unlike many other Blue Caps, this specimen has never been
repaired or restored, the rarity and desirability increases by a factor of ten! The Tourmaline
itself is quite large, measuring just over 5 cm wide across the top and 9.5 cm in total length.
The top termination is complete and in good shape with only a few tiny contacts near the
rim. The blue coloration is vivid and deep, sinking 1 cm down until it changes over to a
hot-pink and then finally a deep red. The backside of the Tourmaline is incomplete where
it was removed from the host rock and this is pretty much the norm. The large Quartz
crystal is terminated and displays a rich yellowish-orange color with internal patches
of milky-white. I call it a Golden Quartz but one might almost consider it to be Citrine.
Blue caps of this caliber rarely appear on the market. I can highly recommend this one.
From the 1974 Pocket, Tourmaline Queen Mine, San Diego County, California.
Measures 16 cm by 14 cm by 11 cm in size.

EXCEPTIONAL!! Museum quality specimen of crystalline Native Gold wires on Calcite with Pyrite!
Without a doubt, this is one of the finest Gold specimens I have ever seen! When one sees this specimen,

far right side of the matrix, there's a single Pyrite cube that adds the perfect finishing touch to this
remarkable specimen. This piece, placed in a display case, will be the center of attention every time!

EXCEPTIONAL!! This plate has it all! Aquamarines in cluster, Pink Apatite crystals, and Pink Fluorite!
Everything is brought together on an Albite and Muscovite covered matrix. I was amazed when I saw
this cabinet sized plate because it struck me how the specimen was divided into thirds with each portion
playing host to a grouping of crystals. The blue Aquamarine crystal cluster catches your eye first, followed
by the hot pink Apatite cluster to the upper right. The soft pink Fluorite (octahedral crystals) adds the
finishing touch and was perfectly placed atop the white Albite to the lower right. A natural art palette!
