EXCEPTIONAL!! Amazing specimen
featuring lustrous Acanthite crystals sitting atop Polybasite!
Admittedly, I'm a Silver specimen fanatic and I go
crazy when I see incredible combination pieces
like this one, but even non-Silver collectors can appreciate a specimen of this calibre! The
pristine
Acanthites xls (largest measures 1.4 cm in size) sit perfectly atop very sharp blades of
Polybasite
which are in turn, accented by a peppering of golden-iridescent Pyrite crystals. The
Polybasite also
appears to be slightly coated by additional micro-Acanthites. I've never seen a specimen
quite like
this one and the contrasting habits of both Silver Sulfides is what caught my attention.
The largest
Polybasite is nearly 2 cm in width so it pretty hard not to notice! All crystals are sharp
and distinct.
From the Reyes Mine, Guanajuato, Mun. de Guanajuato,
Guanajuato, Mexico.
Measures 4.9 cm by 3.9 in size.

Unusual combo featuring a large,
doubly terminated Barite with Sulfur crystals on drusy coated matrix!
This specimen caught my eye in Tucson at first
glance. I've seen Barite specimens and Sulfur specimens
and even Barite with Sulfur specimens from Poland. This is the first Barite with
Sulfur of this variety I've
come across. The Barite is very gemmy and pristine with two perfect terminations. It
exhibits phantoming
and measures nearly 6 cm in length! A smaller Barite can be seen beneath the large crystal
on the back side.
The Native Sulfur crystals are small but their number makes up for the lack of size and
they completely cover
the sparkling drusy covered matrix. An excellent cabinet sized specimen that would make a
great centerpiece.
From the Machów mine, Tarnobrzeg, Podkarpackie, Poland.
Measures 7.3 cm by 11 cm by 8.5 cm in total size.

Beautiful blue crystal of Beryl var.
Aquamarine set atop Albite!
A lovely 4 cm Beryl with an intense blue color which
lightens a bit near the top as it becomes
more gemmy and transparent. The termination is glassy and perfect with a crevice on the
back side edge where the crystal grew up around an Albite. It's also possible that the
crystal
broke at the some time in the ancient past and regrew from that point. The faint line near
the middle
could be evidence of this. There is no damage anywhere and the Aqua is remarkably contact
free.
From the Erongo Mountains, Namibia, SW Africa.
Measures 4.5 cm by 4.2 cm by 3.4 cm in total size.

A delicate pink blushed center
highlights this Goshen-Morganite on white Albite!
Also with minor Schorl, this is only the
third Goshen-Morganite I've come across in the past
five or six years so they definately aren't common. The Goshenite is a colorless Beryl and
it
either overgrows a Morganite (pink Beryl) or the Morganite loses the Manganese coloring
agent
somewhere during its growth and develops a colorless exterior. Whatever the reason, the
end result
is a beautiful bi-colored gem with glassy gemmy faces. Bi-color Beryls are a class all to
their own.
From the Doce Valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Measures 5.1 cm by 4.3 cm by 4 cm in total size.

Dramatic combination of Wulfenite with
orange Mimetite and white Barite blades!
Easily the finest small cab specimen of this
material that I found in Houston this year!
I usually see Wulfenite with Mimetite specimens from this locale but to find so many
Barite
blades in association was pretty awesome. The specimen is wonderfully balanced with a good
looking spacing of each mineral. The Wulfenite blades, Barite, and Mimetite all seem to be
in nearly equal portions atop the matrix. As is normal for these specimens, there are a
few
incomplete Wulfenites but the condition is very good and the aesthetics speak for
themselves.

Cucurpe, Sonora, Mexico.

Gemmy golden Topaz crystal snug
between Albite blades with Schorl Tourmaline!
This 2.5 cm Topaz crystal is complete and gem with
better than average color. A second
smaller Topaz can be seen on the back side and an smaller third Topaz is visible on the
far right. Schorl crystals are scattered about, accenting the otherwise colorless Albite.

Glassy pink Apatite crystals with
Calcite on Albite!
One of the better Apatites I've seen from Colombia,
the dark Quartzite matrix is very
indicative of this Emerald mining district. I count three pink Apatites here, the
larger of
which measures 1.5 cm. It's nearly pristine with only a very slight rounding near the far
right edge where it terminated against a bit of matrix. The surfaces are glassy and
reflective
and all sit atop a matrix of pearly-white Albite crystals which cover the entire matrix
surface.
From La Marina Mine, Mun. de Pauna, Boyacá Department,
Colombia.
Measures 7 cm by 5.8 cm by 4 cm in total size.

Incredible combination of dazzling
green Dioptase with Willemite on orange Wulfenite blades!
These specimens from Tiger, Arizona are highly
prized and it's easy to see why! The color of
the Dioptase crystal clusters on the bright orange Wulfenites is stunning and one of the
prettiest
mineral combinations I've ever seen. The Wulfenite blades are in very good
condition with only
some minor edge chipping. The largest blade measures 2 cm in width and while the front
sides
are accented by emerald-green Dioptase, the back sides are covered by pale blue Willemite
clusters! The Mammoth-Saint Anthony Mine lasted nearly 80 years, finally closing in 1953.
From the Mammoth-Saint Anthony Mine, Tiger, Mammoth
District, Pinal County, Arizona.
Measures 2.4 cm by 4 cm by 3.4 cm in total size.

Classic specimen of Quartz var.
Amethyst crystals atop lustrous Galena!
I love these combos from Naica! They appeared from a
small find about 50 years ago and I've only
owned three or four of them in the past 15 years. This is easily the largest of all and
has the best
Amethyst points. There is very little damage here - almost all the points are complete
with good
terminations while the Galena has a single cleave on the back side where it was separated
from
the host matrix. It measures 7.5 cm in size. Other smaller Galenas help complete
the matrix.
From Naica, Mun. de Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Measures 9.2 cm by 14.5 cm by 13 cm in total size.

Attractive specimen featuring both
blue and tan Barite crystals on purple Fluorite!
The tan Barites tend to be smaller than the blue and
form a really nice looking "pillar"
or stalactite along the upper left. The larger blue Barites average around 1.5 cm in size
and
mainly cover the front side. The Fluorite is only visible in small portions on the back
side.

Illinois.
Measures 7.5 cm by 6.5 cm by 5 cm in total size.

RARE! Fine crystals of Azurite on
matrix!
This is a classic Azurite specimen from a seldom
seem locality. It's so rare that there are no Azurite
photographs in mindat.org. and this is the first specimen that I've ever offered from
here. The Azurites
are small, well formed crystals set atop a porous matrix. The label lists the locale as
Rézbánya, Hungary
and that would date the specimen to the late 1800's because that mining region is now part
of Romania.
From the Baita Mining District (Baita Bihor; Rézbánya),
Nucet, Bihor Co., Romania.
Mesures 6.1 cm by 7.2 cm in size.
Ex. Paul Tucker Mineral Collection
Comes with old original handwritten label

Flashy bright crystal clusters of
yellow Adamite on Adamite covered Limonite matrix!
I count at least four clusters, all in excellent
condition. The only area of contact I see is near the lower
left and this is just a separation zone where matrix was trimmed away. A glassy,
reflective specimen!
From the Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico.
Measures 4.4 cm by 6.3 cm in size.
