Large cabinet plate of well
defined Blackjack Sphalerite crystals and Dolomite on Chert matrix!
This specimen is as impressive as it is large! The crystals are sharp with a satiny luster
and
cover the entire Chert matrix from one side to the other. Dolomite crystals peak out from
beneath
the smaller Sphalerites. The variation in crystal size gives the specimen a really nice
appearance
and allows for the large Sphalerites to look more isolated even though the crystal
coverage is total.
From the Tri-State Mining District, Treece, Cherokee County, Kansas.
Measures 16 cm by 28 cm by 9.2 cm in total size.
Ex. James Vorpahl Mineral Collection
Price $4500
