Dazzling three layer specimen featuring
rare Minrecordite over Dioptase crystals over larger Calcite rhombs!
I love the way nature works and here we a case of layering to create both form and color.
The sparkling
Minrecordite drusy is the icing on the cake. In excellent condition with no damage except
for the bottom trim.

Impressive! Large cabinet specimen
featuring a huge bi-color Fluorite crystal atop Muscovite!
This is one impressive Fluorite specimen! The bi-color
Fluorite measures 10.5 cm by 9.8 cm in
size, and the color isn't pale either! The pink color which radiates from the backside of
the
crystal is a vibrant rosey-red. The green which begins near the crystal's center is
slightly less
intense but still much stronger than usual. The crystal itself is nearly perfect
save for some
incompleteness on the backside where it was separated from the host matrix. This left an
area of cleavage, but if not for this, the crystal would be stuck against a rocky matrix
and far
less transparent. I think the trade off was a good one and in the best interest of the
specimen.
From Chumar Bakhoor, Nagar, Northern Areas of Pakistan.
Measures 16 cm by 14 cm by 11.4 cm in size.

MUSEUM QUALITY!! Large cabinet
specimen of Native Silver dendrites on Native Arsenic!
Easily the finest and largest specimen from this locality that I've seen in all my years
of collecting!
The dendritic Silver feathers cover nearly the entire surface and are present on both
sides. They
are well attached but slightly above the matrix at the same time which is exactly how fine
plates
of this material should be. If I had to make a comparison of crystal habit, I would
compare the look
of these Silver feathers to those you see in the Gold specimen from Hope's Nose. Of course
with
this specimen, there's a lot more crystallization for the dollar spent and this large
plate would make a
incredible centerpiece for a Silver collection or any collection of fine minerals. It is
an amazing thing!
From the Pöhla-Tellerhäuser Mine, Pöhla, Schwarzenberg District, Erzgebirge, Saxony,
Germany.
Measures 14.4 cm by 10 cm by 6.5 cm in total size and weighs 1600 grams!

Gorgeous pink Morganite crystal
on Lepidolite and Cleavelandite with Quartz!
A beautiful 4.5 cm Morganite snuggled between crystal clusters of pink Lepidolite and
white Cleavelandite!
The Morganite is gemmy to translucent with a perfect textbook form and glassy crystal
faces. There is
no damage and the Morganite is complete on all sides. The color could best be described as
a soft
pastel pink with shades of orange. The Lepidolite clusters are rosy-pink and provide a
beautiful contrast.

Gorgeous, gemmy crystal of twinned Golden
Calcite with Sphalerite on matrix!
A wonderful 5 cm crystal, displaying strong luster atop glassy surfaces. The interiors are
quite gemmy
and the color is deep, one of the deepest golden hues I've seen from the Denton Mine. The
condition
of the Calcite is very good with only some minor chatter and a small area of natural
flaking on the
middle corner. Overall, this is a very pleasing Calcite, perfectly isolated among the
Sphalerite crystals.
From the Denton Mine, Harris Creek District, Hardin County, Illinois.
Measures 7 cm by 7.2 cm by 5.2 cm in total size.

RARE CLASSIC!! Lustrous Sylvanite with
Calaverite on matrix!
The Sylvanite and Calaverite appear as flattened and elongated crystals atop the rich
gray matrix. Rotating the specimen from side to side displays the flashy prismatic
structure
of both minerals. The color can best be described as silverish gray to very slightly
yellow.
I believe there is more Sylvanite than Calaverite in this piece but testing is required to
be certain.

Fine specimen featuring lustrous Pyrite
cubes on Quartz points!
An outstanding example of the Pyrite with Quartz specimens

at this famous locality. The Pyrites are sharp and complete with over half a dozen
perfectly
terminated Quartz points. I count three Pyrites in total, with the largest measuring 2.6
cm!

Beautiful specimen of Amethyst-tipped
Quartz crystals on Quartz cast matrix!
A specimen that is very pleasing to the eye! The Amethyst
color is intense and this creates
a radical break where the Quartz crystals begin to grow scepters. The two upright crystals
on
the top right display this feature very well. All the terminations are complete with only
a couple
of bumps on the backside of two crystals. This definately doesn't detract from the
specimen.

Fine crystals of Andradite Garnet on

A perfect, nearly 2 cm Garnet sits atop the specimen, with small Pyrite accents nestled
among lustrous faces. Other lustrous Garnets cover the matrix on every side. The crystals
faces are much cleaner and smoother than what one normally sees from this classic
locality.

Unique combo featuring a green Prehnite
cluster atop Grossular Garnet and Diopside!
I can't recall seeing another Prehnite-Grossular combination from this locality. The
Grossular
Garnets are a gemmy, vibrant orange and they cover the matrix from one side to the other.
The Prehnite is situated prefectly, right in the middle. There are no contact and bruises

HUGE crystal of Almandine Garnet with
smaller crystals in Muscovite!
This whopper measures over 5 cm in size and has plenty of reddish color emerging from
large,
striated faces. It is complete on all sides and sits neatly tucked inside silvery-green
Muscovite matrix.
Interestingly enough, the Palermo Mine was actually originally mined for Mica back in the
mid-1800s.

Museum specimen! Very fine crystal of
Molybdenite perched atop Quartz matrix!
Excellent example of a mineral that doesn't always get its
fair share of respect but one that
can be very impressive when a quality specimen like this one appears. The lustrous gray
Moly
crystal sits firmly atop the Quartz matrix and measures just over 4 cm in size (width). A
smaller
Moly is attached to the main crystal on the backside and this adds further stability. This
specimen
was collected in 1930 by curator R. O. Chalmers and later presented to the Australian
Museum.
From Goodwin's Pipe, Kingsgate Mining Area, New South Wales, Australia.

Fine needle-like sprays of Aurichalchite

A wonderful miniature with lots of eye appeal. The Aurichalchite is in excellent
condition without the usual compressions that are far too common. The colorless

Dramatic sprays of Celestite (Celestine)
with a single Golden Calcite perched in the middle!
This aesthetic specimen is nearly perfect! Very pleasing to the eye and well trimmed, the
Calcite
in the middle is doubly terminated, lustrous, and pristine. It measures 2.2 cm from tip to
tip.
There are actually a few other tiny Calcites but the main one on the center is the
attraction.
The blades of Celestine are pearly lustrous and extend upwards as much as 6 cm!

Impressive specimen featuring lavender
cubes of Fluorite with Galena, Barite and Sphalerite!
This is a stunning Elmwood combo with cubes that are nearly completely colorless but for a
very
slight lavender coloration. The Fluorites are in excellent condition and featuring
numerous, although
tiny inclusions of Bitumen which forms some really neat patterns beneath the surfaces.
Some of
these Bitumen inclusions actually form "drips" that extend downward into the
Fluorites. Small
crystals of Galena, Fluorite, and Barite cover the large Galena located at the top center.
