INCREDIBLE!!! Three Beryl var.
Emeralds on Calcite crystals!!
One of the finest Emerald specimens I've ever seen,
owned, or offered! Three gemmy, deep green
and perfectly terminated Emerald crystals sit atop a matrix covered with pearly-grey
Calcites!
All three of the Emeralds are complete, undamaged, and very flashy as they radiate
grassy-green
color under even faint lighting. They all measure between 1 cm to 1.5 cm in size
and are so gemmy
transparent that you can easily look through the top of each crystal and see the matrix
underneath.
Near the top, a smaller Emerald can be seen peeking out between the glassy Calcite
crystals so there
are actually at least four and maybe more on this specimen. A prize specimen for the
finest collection!
From the La Pita Emerald Mine, Vasquez-Yacopi Mining
District, Boyaca Department, Colombia.
Measures 5 cm by 7.9 cm in total size.
From the Kevin Ward Mineral Collection
Price $45,000

GLOWING, gemmy cluster of Sulfur
crystals on Aragonite matrix!
One of the finest small cab Sulfur specimens I've
seen in a long time! The crystals
are all in excellent condition with barely a bump. The crystals are gem and
transparent
(I can read the specimen label through the crystals) and are incredibly sharp with well
formed faces. This specimen was carefully stored for years and has survived beautifully.
From Agrigento, Agrigento Province, Sicily, Italy.
Measures 5.5 cm by 5.4 cm by 5.1 cm in size.
Ex. Paul Busch Mineral Collection
Price $6500

Stunning matrix vug filled with
Calcite rhombs and a spray of Aurichalcite!
What a cool looking specimen!! Both the transparent
Calcite crystals and Aurichalcite are
fully protected by the edges of the Limonite matrix vug. I think the photo speaks for
itself!
From the Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mun. de Mapimí, Durango,
Mexico.
Measures 4.6 cm by 6 cm by 5.7 cm in size.
Price $895

Impressive specimen featuring crystals
of golden Stilbite in cluster
The blades are perched atop white Zeolite balls
(Thompsonite?) and exhibit a
glassy, waxy luster. Also with Calcite, a pretty specimen from a lesser seen locale.
From Amundicha, Jakutia (Yakutia), Sibera, Russia.
Measures 9.3 cm by 8.3 cm in size.
Price $485

Beautiful, vibrant sea-green crystals
of Cuprian Adamite with Calcite in Limonite seams!
The color of these crystals is what makes the piece
and it's incredible! The Cuprian Adamites
are sharp and glassy and contrast wonderfully with the sparkling Calcite which outlines
the
seams on all levels. The specimen is in excellent shape with some matrix strengthening
(stabilization) on the backside. I count at least a dozen of the colorful Adamite
crystals.
From the Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mun. de Mapimí, Durango,
Mexico.
Measures 8.4 cm by 10 cm by 6.6 cm in size.
Price $2500

Fine specimen of misty-blue Barite

I don't see too many specimen from this rare locale
and this is one of the finest!
The crystals are all complete and terminated with only a minor bump on the backside.
From Carterville, Bartow County, Georgia.
Measures 6.4 cm by 4.7 cm in size.

Scarce specimen of lustrous
Allargentum crystals on sparkling matrix!
Allargentum is a Silver-Antimony mineral
which isn't seen as often as I would like.
This specimen features lustrous, distinct crystals which show well against the drusy-like
matrix. Some of the crystal faces appear "etched" but I think this is only
matrix influence.
From Hartenstein, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany.
Measures 6.1 cm by 5.4 cm in size.
Price $985

Fine specimen featuring elongated
Wulfenite crystals surrounded by Green Mimetite!
These appeared about a year or so ago and are as
beautiful as they are interesting. Obviously
the color combination is incredible but the different crystal habits is just as eye
catching I think.
From Level 6, San Juan Poniente Vein, Ojuela Mine, Mapimí,
Mun. de Mapimí, Durango, Mexico.
Measures 3.5 cm by 6.3 cm in size.
Price $585

Cabinet sized plate featuring well
isolated Adamite clusters on multi-colored Limonite!
This is an amazing specimen! The glassy, yellow
Adamite crystal clusters are isolated atop the
botryoidal surface which is colored by reds, browns, and orange-browns. I've seen
some smaller
specimens with one or two isolated Adamite clusters but nothing that compares to this
large plate!
There's even a single cluster on the backside of the matrix. No damage to any of the
crystals.
From the Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mun. de Mapimí, Durango,
Mexico.
Measures 11.9 cm by 14.5 cm in size.
Price $1450

Large, shiny-black crystal of
Sphalerite with Calcite and Quartz crystals!
This is one impressive looking Sphalerite! The faces
are super sharp and glossy black
with distinct striations. There is some incompleteness on the backside out of view where
the
crystal was removed from the host matrix but this does not detract. The front side is
perfect.
From the Trepca Complex, Trepca Valley, Kosovska
Mitrovica, Kosovo.
Measures 11 cm by 10.2 cm by 6.5 cm in size.
Mined circa 1920's - Formally in the British National Museum
Collection

Classic specimen of crystalline
Azurite balls with Malachite on matrix!
This old specimen is from the old mining town of
Clifton which sits just below the Morenci
open pit. The town of Clifton was a thriving mining town but has dwindled in recent years
as the population has left and main street is now nearly deserted. This specimen is from
the early mining days (circa late 1880's) and is an old A. E. Foote specimen with
an attached
Foote label glued to the bottom side. Most likely an Arizona Copper Company specimen.
From Clifton, Clifton-Morenci District, Greenlee County,
Arizona.
Measures 6.5 cm by 6.3 cm in size.
Comes with an attached A. E. Foote label - circa
1880's.
Price $895

These combos appeared at the show this year from a

Department, Peru.
Measures 13.2 cm by 9.3 cm in size.
Ex. James Vorpahl Mineral Collection
