EXCEPTIONAL SILVER!
Dramatic specimen of Native Silver Wires on Acanthite coated matrix!
This is the second time I've owned this remarkable specimen and I was very happy to
reacquire the
piece in a recent trade. I call it the "Silver Medusa" and I think that's a
pretty good description.
The base consists of thicker wires and Acanthite but the wires quickly grow out and
upwards in all
directions, giving the specimen both a wild appearance and very aesthetic eye appeal. The
surface
of the wires are well striated and lustrous with just a hint of patina. If you missed the
specimen
the first time, now is your second chance to add this wonderful German Silver to your
collection!
From Freiberg, Freiberg District, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany.
Measures 9 cm by 6.6 cm in total size.
Ex. Kevin Ward, Goings Mineral Collections
Comes with a custom made, labeled base.
Price $28,500

EXCEPTIONAL!! Amazing specimen
featuring one of the largest Amazonite crystals I've seen!
The main upright Amazonite crystal measures 11 cm in
height! It is also perfectly terminated
with the deepest, most incredible turquoise-blue coloration imaginable. The fat Smoky
Quartz
in the front adds a wonderful contrast and is also terminated. It features a darker top
and lighter
base which really suites the specimen I think. Smaller but equally as fine Amazonite xls
can be
seen to the lower right side of the largest crystal. As is the norm for
Smoky-Amazonites, this
specimen has been expertly repaired. The large crystal of Amazonite is totally complete
though.
From Sentinel Rock, El Paso County, Colorado.
Measures 12 cm by 16 cm by 8 cm in size.
Ex. Revelle Mineral Collection
Price $12,500

Gemmy, apple-green Fluorite cubes in
cluster with white accenting!
Very sweet Fluorite specimen and also material you
don't see very often these days.
These apple-green Fluorites on white appeared about seven years ago and have become
very difficult to locate at the shows. This is one of the finer examples I've seen in
years
and the crystals are all gemmy right down to the matrix and in excellent shape.
From the Xianghualing Mine, Chengzhou Prefecture, Hunan
Province of China.
Measures 9.2 cm by 14 cm in size.
Price $1450

EXCEPTIONAL COPPER!! Bright, lustrous
crystals of Native Copper!
A stunning cluster of Copper crystals with a super
shiny surface and lustrous
faces. There's a combination of Quartz, Calcite, and Epidote accenting between
and atop several of the well formed crystals. No damage to speak of and one of
the prettiest patinas I've seen in a long time on a Michigan Copper specimen.
From the Calumet & Hecla Mine, Calumet, Houghton
County, Michigan.
Circa late 1890's - Measures 6.5 cm by 4.1 cm by 3.2 cm in size.
Comes with a custom made, engraved base
Price $4500

SUPERB!! Sharp crystals of Acanthite and
curling Native Silver wires!
Both Silver minerals sit atop a matrix of Quartz with Quartz crystal sprays.
The Acanthite crystals are so incredibly sharp and lustrous that at first glance, one
might not even notice the small "ram's horn" Silver located on the far right
side of
the specimen! Acanthite and Silver combos from Mexico are rarely seen at the shows.
From the Reyes Mine in Guanajuato, Mexico.
Measures 5 cm by 3 cm by 2.5 cm in total size.
Price $2850

Beautiful, vibrant sea-green crystals
of Cuprian Adamite with Calcite in Limonite seams!
The color of these crystals is what makes the piece
and it's incredible! The Cuprian Adamites
are sharp and glassy and contrast wonderfully with the sparkling Calcite which outlines
the
seams on all levels. The specimen is in excellent shape with some matrix strengthening
(stabilization) on the backside. I count at least a dozen of the colorful Adamite
crystals.
From the Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mun. de Mapimí, Durango,
Mexico.
Measures 8.4 cm by 10 cm by 6.6 cm in size.
Price $2500

Scarce specimen of lustrous
Allargentum crystals on sparkling matrix!
Allargentum is a Silver-Antimony mineral
which isn't seen as often as I would like.
This specimen features lustrous, distinct crystals which show well against the drusy-like
matrix. Some of the crystal faces appear "etched" but I think this is only
matrix influence.
From Hartenstein, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany.
Measures 6.1 cm by 5.4 cm in size.
Price $985

Cabinet sized plate featuring well
isolated Adamite clusters on multi-colored Limonite!
This is an amazing specimen! The glassy, yellow
Adamite crystal clusters are isolated atop the
botryoidal surface which is colored by reds, browns, and orange-browns. I've seen
some smaller
specimens with one or two isolated Adamite clusters but nothing that compares to this
large plate!
There's even a single cluster on the backside of the matrix. No damage to any of the
crystals.
From the Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mun. de Mapimí, Durango,
Mexico.
Measures 11.9 cm by 14.5 cm in size.
Price $1450

Large, shiny-black crystal of
Sphalerite with Calcite and Quartz crystals!
This is one impressive looking Sphalerite! The faces
are super sharp and glossy black
with distinct striations. There is some incompleteness on the backside out of view where
the
crystal was removed from the host matrix but this does not detract. The front side is
perfect.
From the Trepca Complex, Trepca Valley, Kosovska
Mitrovica, Kosovo.
Measures 11 cm by 10.2 cm by 6.5 cm in size.
Mined circa 1920's - Formally in the British National Museum
Collection

Classic specimen of crystalline
Azurite balls with Malachite on matrix!
This old specimen is from the old mining town of
Clifton which sits just below the Morenci
open pit. The town of Clifton was a thriving mining town but has dwindled in recent years
as the population has left and main street is now nearly deserted. This specimen is from
the early mining days (circa late 1880's) and is an old A. E. Foote specimen with
an attached
Foote label glued to the bottom side. Most likely an Arizona Copper Company specimen.
From Clifton, Clifton-Morenci District, Greenlee County,
Arizona.
Measures 6.5 cm by 6.3 cm in size.
Comes with an attached A. E. Foote label - circa
1880's.
Price $895
