Amazing specimen featuring Pink
Tourmalines (Elbaite) with Quartz and Lepidolite!!
This specimen is amazing in many ways, not the least of which is that there are no
repairs. It seems like
almost all Elba Tourmaline specimens are reattached but these are 100% unrepaired and
unrestored.
The color is a beautiful hot pink and the crystals are glassy and translucent. The upright
Tourmaline
on the right measures 3.5 cm in length and is perfectly terminated. The slanted Tourmaline
on the left
is crudely terminated against Cleavelandite and measures 3 cm in length. The Quartz
crystals at
top are also terminated and provide the perfect background. A rare specimen and unique
opportunity.
From the Grotta d'Oggi Quarry, San Piero in Campo,
Elba Island, Italy.
Measures 9 cm by 7.5 cm by 7.5 cm with 3.5 cm and 3 cm Tourmalines.
Ex. Perry, Kevin Ward, Freilich Mineral Collections
Price $12,500

Sparkling crystal clusters of Cupreous
Selenite on matrix!
This is the first example of Cuprian Selenite that
I've offered on the website outside of the Naica
specimen that may also be Cuprian colored. The Selenite here appears as crystal cluster
spheres!
From the Touissit Mine, Touissit, Oujda-Angad Province,
Morocco.
Measures 6.4 cm by 9.3 cm in size.

Superbly crystalline Native Gold on
Quartz!
At first glance, the large trigon crystals along the
top jump out at you but when you take a closer
look at this gleaming specimen, you see that it is completely crystalline from top to
bottom! Trigons,
flattened crystals, dendritics, and dodecahedrons form the body of this incredibly
lustrous and flashy
Gold specimen. The center portion is so crystalline dendritic that it takes on the
appearance of woven
fabric! The Quartz is nearly all white and is perfectly proportional to the Native Gold.
California Golds
of this quailty are becoming extremely difficult to find and this one represents a
wonderful opportunity.
From the Eagle's Nest Mine, Placer County, California.
Measures 5.7 cm by 3.7 cm in size.
Ex. Pellman Mineral Collection
Price $12,500

Lustrous, silvery-gray crystal cluster
of Stephanite with Calcite on matrix!
VERY impressive example of this late stage Silver
Antimony Sulfosalt which is roughly
about 69% Silver by formula. The crystals appear as flattened hexagonal tables with
an obvious twin visible in the photo on the far left side of the cluster. Crude
looking
dogtooth Calcite crystals surround the cluster and cover most of the host rock matrix.
From the Doloras Mine, Real del Monte, Hidalgo, Mexico.
Measures 5 cm by 4.8 cm by 4 cm in size.
Ex. Manhattanville College Mineral Collection, Purchase,
New York
Price $2500

WOW! Killer rhomb of pinkish-red
Rhodochrosite sitting atop Quartz covered matrix!
Classic and beautiful! Small crystals of Pyrite also
add a nice accent to this large 3.7 cm rhomb.
The Rhodochrosite rhomb is complete and undamaged and is well balanced on an equal amount
of Quartz.
From the long closed American Tunnel Mine, Silverton, San
Juan County, Colorado.
Measures 3.9 cm by 3.6 cm in size.
Ex. Frank Wright Mineral Collection
Price $4500

Classy looking cluster of Brazilianite
crystals!
This is a gorgeous specimen with lots of gem and a
5.7 crystal that is doubly
terminated. The surrounding crystals are also terminated as they point outwards
in every direction! One thing that I love about this specimen is the lack of inclusion
and the better than average amount of transparent gem material in every crystal.
The Pellmans were definately cherry-picking when they purchased this cluster.
From Laura de Maneol, near Linopolis, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Measures 4.8 cm by 5.5 cm in size.
Ex. Pellman Mineral Collection
Comes with a custom made, labeled base
Price $2450

Exceptional specimen featuring a Smoky
Quartz with a crystal-clear Topaz crystal!
A really sweet combo, the Smoky Quartz is fully
terminated and in perfect condition with
only a tiny bit of chatter here and there. The Topaz crystal is large for the locale and
is
completely gem with sharply striated faces. It measures 3 cm by 3.5 cm in size and is
almost colorless but for a very faint icy-blue tint. The Topaz is partially contacted on
the backside but this does not detract in the least. This is one stunning specimen to see.
From Klein Spitzkopje, Swakopmund District, Namibia.
Measures 8.1 cm by 6 cm by 4.5 cm in size.

Glassy crystal of bi-color Apophyllite
perched atop transparent Calcite crystals!
The Calcites are accented by Stilbite blades along
the top side and smaller Apophyllite crystals
down the back. A distinct green banding can be seen in the center of the 7.2 cm
Apophyllite
crystal. It's doubly terminated with the left side termination being pristine and pointed
while
the right side termination is flat with a slightly matted surface. In excellent
condition overall!
From Jalgaon, North Maharashtra, India.
Measures 11.9 cm by 7.3 cm by 6.7 cm in size.

Lovely, phantomed Calcite twin on
smaller phantomed Calcites!
The individual Calcite crystals are all terminated
with glassy surfaces and darker brown
phantoms. The specimen is nearly flawless with only a minor chip on the right side
Calcite.
From Xiang Fang Lin Mine, Chenzhou, Hunan Province of
China.
Measures 5.2 cm by 3.8 cm in size.
Price $485

Large, vibrant green plate of
Malachite included Calcite crystals!
Full of color and luster, this plate features an
impressive cluster of minty-green Calcites
that could be best be described as "jagged" in appearance. Not exactly
dogtooth but close.
From Concepción del Oro, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Measures 15 cm by 17.5 cm in size.
Price $785

RARE! Golden dendritics of Nickeline
with Acanthite in host matrix from Cobalt!
This is one impressive mineral plate and is eye
candy for a Silver collector like myself. The Acanthite
crystals are the more angular gray crystals on the right side of the plate while
the Nickeline portion
appears as golden dendrites on the left side of the plate. Nickeline was once confused for
a Copper
ore and was actually called Copper Nickel (kupfernickel) by German miners in the 19th
century.
However it's actually a mixture of Nickel and Arsenic (NiAs) and contains no Copper or
Silver.
It's a scarcer mineral from the Cobalt region and frequently appears with Acanthite or
Silver ore.
There's an old $25.00 price label on the bottom side of the specimen with the collection
number 245.
This is one of the most impressive plates I've seen in terms of both size and aesthetics.
Circa early 1900's - From the Cobalt area, Cobalt-Gowganda
region, Timiskaming District, Ontario, Canada.
Measures 8.2 cm by 17.4 cm by 2.1 cm in size. Quite heavy as well!
Ex. Whitmore Mineral Collection
Currently in the Kevin Ward Mineral Collection
Price $2500

Pretty blue Aquamarine crystal in
white Quartz matrix!
This crystal measures a full 6.5 cm and is
completely terminated at the top. The crystal is
in excellent condition with lots of blue gem material throughout. Really nice example of
an
east coast Beryl - definately one of the better specimens I've seen recently. Circa
1940's.
From the Reynolds Mine, Royalston, Worcester County,
Massachusetts.
Measures 6.5 cm by 6.2 cm in size.
Price $685

RARE! Unique specimen featuring yellow
Wulfenite blades with Calcite inside a matrix vug!
This aesthetic specimen looks like a broken geode
but is probably a small matrix pocket
which filled with Wulfenite and Calcite. The yellow blades are in excellent
condition and some
are coated by the stark white Calcite. A wonderful mineral combo from a seldom seen
locality.
From the Searchlight District, Clark County, Nevada.
Measures 7.3 cm by 9.4 cm by 5.4 cm in size.
Ex. Schlichter Mineral Collection
Price $895

Shiny, dark red Rutile crystals on
matrix!
The largest crystal measures 1.3 cm in size and even
though it's dark, there's a serious red
flash that pops out when the crystal is tilted under a light. The surfaces are complete
and shiny!
From the Champion Mine, Mono County, California.
Measures 3 cm by 3 cm in size.
Ex. Schlichter Mineral Collection
Price $345
