Tucson2016-114GoldEaglesNestMineCalifornia85mm.jpg (425546 bytes)

MIN#Tucson2016-41 NEW!

Spectacular and incredibly brilliant specimen of crystalline Native Gold on white Quartz matrix!
This is one of those very fine specmens that you come across every now and then that simply amazes
and grabs your attention. It's a large miniature sized Gold which displays the aesthetics and presense of
a much larger and much more expensive specimen. Quality crystalline Golds like this one don't come
along very often, regardless of their size. This specimen is incredible lustrous and is composed of crystals
from top to bottom. The color of the Gold is a rich, brilliant yellow and the piece could be displayed from
either side as both are equally as crystalline and equally as attractive. One of the finest Golds in Tucson!
From the Eagle's Nest Mine, Placer County, California.
Measures 7 cm by 7.5 cm by 1.3 cm in total size.

Comes with a custom made, labeled display base

Tucson2016-111SilverCalciteHighlandBellMineCanada65mm.jpg (345488 bytes)

MIN#Tucson2016-43 NEW!

Spectacular Native Silver wires and Acanthite atop matrix with Calcite crystals!
Probably the finest specimen I've ever seen or offered from the Highland Bell Mine in British Columbia,
Canada. The asethetics are off the chart and the association of white Calcite crystals, perched atop and
penetrated by wires of Native Silver as they are suspended in the air along the upper left edge reminds
one of a Kongsberg Silver specimen. Dark gray Acanthite crystals are nestled between the numerous
wires and the entire specimen displays a beautiful golden patina. Stepping back, it becomes obvious that
this specimen is part of a Calcite seam which opened up and provided space for the Native Silver wires
and Acanthites to develop. This would make a fine addition to any Canadian or Silver specimen cabinet.

From Highland Bell Mine, Beaverdell, Greenwood Mining Division, British Columbia, Canada.
Measures 6.5 cm by 6.6 cm by 3.7 cm in total size.

Tucson2016-116WulfeniteRedCloudMineArizona44mm.jpg (358758 bytes)

MIN#Tucson2016-44 NEW!

Super lustrous specimen featuring large reddish-orange Wulfenite blades on matrix!
This is older material from the famous Red Cloud Mine and it is quite spectacular. The largest
Wulfenite crystal blade measures 3 cm and the other two large blades measure nearly 2.5 cm
each. The blades are all highly lustrous and glassy with translucent interiors with some gem
here and there. With backlighting or top lighting the crystals glow! They're all in excellent
condition with only a few trivial contacts. The horizontal blade on the back side terminated
against matrix, giving it a small amount of irregularity on the back portion of the blade but
this is not damage, does not detract, and is completely invisible from the front display side.

From the Red Cloud Mine, Silver District, Trigo Mts, La Paz County, Arizona.
Measures 4.3 cm by 4.5 cm by 3.8 cm in total size.

Denver2014-163RhodochrositepsCalciteQuartzCavnicMaramuresCountyRomania.jpg (278308 bytes)

MIN#Tucson2016-46 NEW!

Unique specimen featuring a Rhodochrosite crystal perched high atop a Quartz lined matrix vug!
This is one of the oddest specimens from the show and also one that is incredibly eye catching. The most noticeable
crystal is the large, upright Rhodochrosite which has pseudomorphed a scalenohedral Calcite. It measures 3.5 cm
in size and sits atop a surface of small Quartz crystals. The Quartz also lined the interior of the matrix vug and
there are two more Rhodochrosite pseudos inside the vug. The vug also opens up on the back side of the matrix.
From the Cavnic Mine, Cavnic, Maramures County, Romania.
Measures 7 cm by 7.2 cm by 6.4 cm in total size.

MIN#Tucson2016-52 NEW!

Very pretty plate of large Pink Fluorapophyllite crystals with white Dolomite accents!
This is not a specimen you see every day at the shows and it's the finest I've offered in years.
The Fluorapophyllite crystals average around 2.5 cm in size and are super sharp and lustrous
with glassy reflective faces. The photograph above displays very well the beautiful structure of
the crystal faces. White Dolomite crystals are scattered about, accenting the Fluorapophyllite
crystals and adding a fine contrast to the specimen. In excellent condition with no distractions.
From the very rare and important small 2010 find of unusually large and impressive specimens.

From the San Martín Mine, Mun. de Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Measures 8 cm by 10.6 cm by 5.9 cm in total size.

Tucson2016-112AmethystTonglushanChina123mm2.jpg (194950 bytes)

MIN#Tucson2016-53 NEW!

Gorgeous, gemmy cluster of Quartz var. Amethyst crystals from China!
The largest crystal at top measures 8 cm in width and the color this cluster displays is the deepest
grape-jelly purple you'll see in an Amethyst specimen. There are numerous phantoms as well, just
beneath the glassy-lustrous surfaces, so this specimen has had several crystal growth cycles. In
excellent conditional with only a few matrix influenced irregularities on some lower crystal faces.

From the Tonglüshan Mine, Daye Co., Huangshi Prefecture, Hubei Province, China.
Measures 11 cm by 10 cm by 11.6 cm in total size.

Tucson2016-115FluoriteSphaleriteElmwoodMineTennessee21cm.jpg (497851 bytes)

MIN#Tucson2016-54 NEW!

Large showpiece sized Fluorite cube with smaller Fluorites on Sphalerite matrix!
This is the largest Elmwood Fluorite I've offered in years and the cube itself measures nearly
13 cm across the corners and rises 8 cm above the Sphalerite matrix. It ranges from transparent
to translucent near the center and displays a very light golden hue with numerous purple accents
peppered about the lustrous surfaces and just beneath as well. Smaller purple Fluorites surround
the large cube and a 5 cm Fluorite with similar coloration can be seen to the lower right atop the
matrix. In excellent condition with barely a contact on the large cube, this is an Elmwood that would
easily fit the role as centerpiece in any collection. Very impressive and a wonderful display specimen.

From the Elmwood Mine, Smith County, Tennessee.
Measures 16 cm by 20.8 cm by 10.4 cm in total size.

Tucson2016-88LDAzuriteMalachiteTsumebNamibia76mm2.jpg (488392 bytes)

MIN#Tucson2016-55 NEW!

Exceptional cluster of Azurite crystal blades with Malachite accenting from the Tsumeb Mine!
The
Azurite crystals on the left side are all freestanding with vertical tips and the largest Azurite
crystal along the back measures 4 cm in height and 2.5 cm or right at an inch in width. I count at least a
dozen vertical crystals and all are situated with space between one another which gives the specimen
the appearance of depth with well isolated crystals. These crystals rise upwards from a base of sharp,
terminated Azurite crystals which lay horizontally and terminate outwards towards the right. The largest
of these measures 4 cm in length by 3 cm in width. Overall, the specimen is in wonderful condition with
no detractions. Only trivial contacts here and there. The crystal surfaces are very glassy with a rolling
luster and they contrast beautifully with the small patches of vibrant green Malachite and white matrix.

From the Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia.
Measures 7.3 cm by 7 cm by 4.6 cm in total size.

MIN#Tucson2016-56 NEW!

Fine crystals of Yellow Anglesite atop dark matrix!
This is an attractive cluster of fine Anglesite crystals, almost all displaying complete
terminations. Some of the crystals have inclusions which make them appear darker and
these contrast beautifully with the yellow crystals which are gemmy and free of inclusions.
The yellow Anglesite crystal in the front measures 2 cm in size with very lustrous surfaces.
From Touissit, Touissit District, Oujda-Angad Province, Oriental Region, Morocco.
Measures 4.7 cm by 4 cm by 4 cm in total size.

Tucson2016-85ScheeliteFluoriteGosheniteMtXuebaodingChina8cm.jpg (296424 bytes)

MIN#Tucson2016-57 NEW!

Exceptional combination specimen featuring a large Scheelite with Fluorite and a Goshenite Beryl!
Specimens with this variety of minerals on the same plate are so incredibly difficult to find in today's
marketplace and this is one the finest I've seen since the mid 2000's! It displays like a charm, with
an upright positioning and a super lustrous, nearly 5 cm Scheelite at the bottom, topped by a smaller
Scheelite at the top with transparent Fluorite cystals an a milky-Goshenite Beryl along the far right
edge. The large Scheelite displays a brilliance and vibrance that only the deeper colored specimens
can produce and there is a good amount of translucency in this crystal, despite its large size. The
Fluorites are crystal-clear and brilliant and the Goshenite is a true Goshenite, not a pale Aqua like is
so often seen from China. In excellent condition with only trivial contacts. It will be hard to top this one.

From Mt Xuebaoding, Pingwu Co., Mianyang Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China.
Measures 8.2 cm by 6 cm by 4 cm in total size.

MIN#Tucson2016-59 NEW!

Beautifully phantomed Quartz crystal cluster with Hematite!
These perfectly terminated Quartz crystals display very distinct reddish phantoms
just beneath the top terminations. This is a Hematite layer that was overgrown by
an additional Quartz layer, imparting the termination within a termination appearance.
Under magnification, there appears to be several phantoms, one above the other, inside
each Quartz crystal. In excellent condition with only a few trivial contacts and glassy faces.
From Itremo massif, Ambatofinandrahana Dist., Amoron'i Mania Region, Fianarantsoa Prov., Madagascar.
Measures 12.5 cm by 12 cm by 5.4 cm in total size.

MIN#Tucson2016-60 NEW!

Large plate of deep red Uvite Tourmaline crystals on gemmy white Magnesite crystal matrix!
Super lustrous, red crystals of Uvite Tourmaline are scattered about in an isolated manner atop
the brilliant Magnesite matrix. The contrast is stunning and the eye appeal and balance is superb.
Red Uvite Tourmaline is much rarer and more desirable than the more common green variety. This
specimen is in excellent condition with Uvites measuring to 1.3 cm in size. Incredibly bright and flashy.
From the Pedra Preta pit, Serra das Éguas, Brumado (Bom Jesus dos Meiras), Bahia, Brazil.
Measures 9.8 cm by 18.4 cm by 4.2 cm in total size.
