MIN#Keystone-107 NEW!

Cobalt rarity! Native Silver wires on Quartz in matrix!
Wires of Native Silver are extremely rare from the Cobalt Region and I've only
seen a handful of specimens in the past decade or two. These wires are popping out
from the Quartz seam that runs between the layers of matrix and wires are visible on
both sides of the specimen. The weight of this piece is quite heavy, indicating a large
amount of Silver in running through the Quartz. There are wires present on both sides.

Tucson2012-209EtchedFluoriteMinervaMine1Illinois85mm.jpg (178668 bytes)

MIN#Keystone-141

Incredible specimen of naturally etched bi-colored Fluorite!
I normally don't acquire etched Fluorite specimens although I know they are very popular
with collectors. This one, however, jumped out at me when I saw it in Tucson and I grabbed
it for the update. This is the most amazing etched specimen I think I've ever seen. It looks
like a sculpture with golden-yellow pillars rising upwards until they reach a purple cap which
displays less etching and even some smooth faces. The entire structure looks like a series
of "mushrooms" and is very 3-dimensional
from all sides. I might also add that it's very
difficult to photograph due to the its depth of structure and is much better in person.

MIN#Keystone-144

Amazing specimen featuring dark purple cubes of Fluorite alongside etched yellow Fluorite crystals!
I never cease to be amazed by the combinations Fluorite can create for itself. This interesting specimen
began as a yellow Fluorite cluster. Later it was etched by natural solution and later overgrown on the
left side by purple Fluorite cubes. The basic structure of the original yellow Fluorite is still visible
despite the etching and together both colors create a wonderful specimen which has a lot to say.

Beautiful specimen of Amethyst-tipped Quartz crystals on Quartz cast matrix!
A specimen that is very pleasing to the eye! The Amethyst color is intense and this creates
a radical break where the Quartz crystals begin to grow scepters. The two upright crystals on
the top right display this feature very well. All the terminations are complete with only a couple
of bumps on the backside of two crystals. This definately doesn't detract from the specimen.

Denver2012-15PyriteQuartzButteMontana7cm.jpg (327988 bytes)

MIN#Keystone-167

Large, impressive crystal of Pyrite set among Quartz  on matrix!
This is a Pyrite octahedron and it measures nearly 4 cm in size. It's one of the best Pyrites I've seen
in years from Butte, Montana and it's in very good condition as well. The above photo shows what
appears to be cracks in the main Pyrite but these are very tiny stress lines that have been magnified
by the camera. In person, they are practically invisible and get lost among the intense luster on the
crystal faces. The main Pyrite is very study and I only detect a single small contact on the backside
.
From Butte, Silver Bow County, Montana.
Measures 4.5 cm by 6.8 cm by 5.4 cm in total size.
