transparent to translucent interiors and glassy-lustrous surfaces. The Sulfur matrix is a very
bright yellow and offers a beautiful contrast to the blue Celestine. In excellent condition with
barely a contact anywhere. The Sulfur has been stabilized on the bottom side along a crack.

MIN#Keystone-5

Attractive old classic displaying a frosted Calcite crystal on Chert matrix!
This is a specimen both a geologist and mineral collector could love because of the way it displays the frosted
and doubly terminated Calcite crystal set at an angle against the two sections of Chert matrix. This specimen
came of the Tri-State District Mines in the 1930's - 40's and has more character than most of what I see from
this region. I love the deep golden Calcite interiors which peak through at the perfect upper termination. The
white frosting is most likely an inclusion and it imparts a two-toned appearance to the Calcite that is very nice.

Lustrous plate of yellow Pyromorphite crystals standing vertically atop matrix!
This is the largest plate of Pyromorphite that I've seen from this very old locality. It dates back
to the Lead mining conducted here by the Romans and many old masonry walls and arches are
still present at the site. This plate displays hundreds of free standing crystals and is in excellent
condition with few contacts. The crystals are mostly lustrous yellow with just a touch of green
and they completely cover a plate which when turned around, displays a back side covered in
Quartz crystals. The specimen is very well trimmed and displays well from numerous angles.

MIN#Keystone-20

Super glassy crystals of deep blue Azurite with green Malachite sprays on matrix!
This is a screamer of an Azurite specimen if you appreciate chisel-perfect and highly lustrous
Azurite crystals. I won't make the comparison of these Azurites with those of Milpillas because
the look is somewhat different but they are every bit as impressive to me. The largest of these
freestanding Azurite crystals measures 2 cm in size and they were obviously well protected by the
concave pocket in which they formed because all are pristine, save for a couple of small ones
that touched matrix. This is a specimen that must be seen to be fully appreciated. The picture is
good but the specimen itself is many times better in person. The crystal luster is mind blowing.

This is a beautiful specimen, and one that I don't see at the shows very often these days.
It comes from the Deer Trail Mine in Utah and the Fluorites actually have to be freed from
a thin Quartz druse coating. This is usually old material and quite beautiful material as well,
with a variation of the green color that I can't recall seeing from any other locality. It's a light
pastel green with just a hint of sea-green or blue-green in the mix. This small cabinet sized

MIN#Keystone-26

Rare specimen of Calcite crystals in cluster perched atop Marcasite matrix!
This is the first specimen I've offered from the Cadjebut Mine and they are anything but common. Most
specimens came to market about 20 years ago in the mid 1990's and quickly disappeared into private
collections. Mindat.org only has a few specimens pictured and this piece is far superior to all of those.
There are about a dozen crystals here, all well striated and lustrous with excellent transparency. They
also display a light golden coloration. The Calcite sit atop a matrix of lustrous Marcasite crystals which
is another mineral this locality is known for. All in all, in great condition with only a few minor contacts.

shaped dendrite along the front of the largest crystal is pretty aesthetic. The surfaces of

MIN#Keystone-77

Rare and unusual! Brilliant crystals of Calcite from New Jersey!
This is the first and only Calcite specimen I've seen from the Chimney Rock locality in New Jersey.
The crystals are rhombohedral, and for the most part, twinned, with an intense rolling surface luster
that is very difficult to convey with a photograph. It's there however and the specimen is very flashy
in person. The Calcites are internally clear, but overgrowth by a milky layer and a light gray dusting of
some other mineral. Very nice specimen and a rare locality for Calcite collectors to add to their cabinet.
From the Chimney Rock Quarry (Houdaille Quarry), Bridgewater Township, Somerset Co., New Jersey.
Measures 7.7 cm by 9.5 cm by 6.2 cm in total size.

Lustrous, terminated crystals of Epidote on Epidote covered matrix.
Epidote is not on of the most glamorous minerals but this specimen is pretty darn nice, especially

olive-green Epidote crystal is terminated except for the fat crystal on the far right. It's rehealed.

Canary-yellow crystals of Cerussite atop matrix!
There are well over a dozen glassy crystals here. All are terminated and all exhibit a brilliant yellow
coloration. For a locality better known for its Pyromorphite, Cerussite specimens are not that common
but their quality is quite good. These Chrome-Cerussites came out about 7 years ago and disappeared
from the market very quickly. The crystals stand upright on the matrix and exhibit a fine waxy luster.

Fine specimen featuring Native Copper with a seam of Native Silver across the center!
This is a good looking halfbreed specimen. The Copper is semi-crystalline with an attractive
patina and more than a fair share of luster. It is interwoven with seams of bright Native Silver,
some of which is accented by dark gray patterning. A seam of Silver is visible across the center
but it also appears at the top and in various locations throughout near the back. I'm not sure what
the gray patterning is, but it does add an interesting contrast to the Silver crystals scattered about.

Large cabinet plate featuring reddish-orange Wulfenite crystal blades on brown matrix!
This plate has good coverage with blades measuring to 2 cm in size. The Wulfenites are sharp,
fully translucent to light, with chiseled edges and very few contacts, if any. The surfaces of each
crystal are extremely glassy-lustrous and almost all the Wulfenites stand upright as opposed to the
less attractive specimens with blades laying nearly horizontal to the surface. The brown, Calcitic
matrix makes for a sparkling background and good color contrast for the reddish-orange crystals.
This is a great looking plate and a little bit of trimming could make it even more impressive IMO.

center measures 1.3 cm in width and it sits beside another 1.3 cm crystal to its left. I might add
that these crystals sit high atop the matrix and this gives the specimen a wonderful sense of
depth and high relief. There is no damage to speak and even the tiniest crystals are pristine.

Unique looking bluish-green Smithsonite!
Smithsonite comes in all shapes and sizes and this one grew into what resembles a triangular
crystal habit. Looking underneath reveals that the specimen is solid Smithsonite with one layer
tightly bound to another layer and there doesn't appear to be much in the way of host matrix.
Is this specimen a pseudomorph of some kind or just a freak of nature? My guess would be
with the second option but anything is possible. The color is a lovely bluish-green or sea green
and the pristine surfaces are covered with a brilliant luster atop the rolling botryoidal growth.
