MIN#TUCSON2018-182 NEW!

Spectacular cluster of Quartz var. Citrine crystals with Scepter tipped terminations!
This is an incredible display specimen and it can be displayed in a myriad of ways due to the
positioning of the large scepter-tipped crystals. One thing I want to point out is that this is not
a small specimen. It is borderline large cabinet with the main center crystal measuring nearly
18 cm in length. The crystals are included by a green mineral, probably Chlorite, along the lower
right edge, before changing over to a beautiful deep orange along their lengths. The crystals then
terminate with colorless scepters. The surfaces of the crystals are textured by hundreds of small
faces which reflect the light and create an intense sparkle. The scepters are smooth and glassy.
This is a superb Quartz specimen from a recent find and it is in excellent condition, top to bottom.

From Huanggang Mine, Hexigten Banner, Ulanhad League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China.
Measures 17.8 cm by 17 cm by 8.2 cm in total size.

Gemmy yellow crystals of Sulfur on Aragonite matrix!
This is a gorgeous specimen with two gemmy Sulfur crystals sitting atop the white Aragonite matrix.
Both crystals are sharp and complete with few contacts and a strong satiny luster. The largest of the
two measures nearly 3 cm in size. There are some smaller bitumen included Sulfur crystals atop the matrix
adding originality to the specimen which dates back to the early 1900's when Sicily was a major Sulfur source.
From the Agrigento Province (Girgenti Province), Sicily, Italy.

MIN#TUCSON2018-186 NEW!

Large, translucent Calcite crystals perched atop Quartz crystal matrix!
This is the perfect companion piece for the Azurite above. It's the finest Calcite plate I've seen
in a long time from the old Bisbee District. There are very few in the way on contacts and none of
these detract from the specimen. The crystals are glassy and tranlucent with pearl-like brilliance.
There are nearly a dozen crystals here with the largest measuring to 3.5 cm in width. A lovely piece!
From Bisbee, Cochise County, Arizona.
Measures 10 cm by 10.4 cm by 6.2 cm in total size.

These lovely pink Calcite specimens are of recent discovery and consist of numerous stacked crystals
which rise upwards atop one another, forming a skyline of pillars. There is no matrix as the specimen
is all Manganoan Calcite, from top to bottom.  The surfaces are super glassy and lustrous and there
is no damage to speak of. The color could best be described as a glowing, translucent pastel-pink.

MIN#TUCSON2018-188 NEW!

Exceptional specimen featuring a pristine, gemmy Calcite sitting alongside a Hematite crystal!
A beautiful combination that is both aesthetic and nearly pristine. The transparent Calcite at top measures
4.7 cm in size. It sits next to a perfectly terminated, nearly 2 cm tall Hematite crystal with mirror-lustrous
faces on all side. A couple of smaller Calcite crystals are also present and all are sitting atop a matrix
covered by super flashy Hematite crystals. In excellent condition with no damage to speak of. There is
a slight matrix influence irregularity on a backside Calcite face but this does not detract. Simply superb!
From the N'Chwaning II Mine, Kuruman, Kalahari manganese field, Northern Cape Province, South Africa.

MIN#TUCSON2018-192 NEW!

Classic rarity! Fine crystals of Calcite on matrix from St. Andreasberg!
This locality was an old Silver Mining District in Germany but today all the mines are long
since closed and reclaimed for the most part. I don't come across many fine Calcite plates
from this locality and all date back to the late 1800's or early 1900's. This plate consists of
dozens of translucent, stacked Calcite crystals which formed scalendohedral-like pillars atop
the Sulfide mineral and Dolomite covered surface. Beautifully preserved with few contacts.
From St Andreasberg, St Andreasberg District, Harz, Lower Saxony, Germany.
Measures 7.7 cm by 6.2 cm by 5.4 cm in total size.

Large, lustrous crystal of Acanthite ps after Argentite!
We acquired a collection of this very large, super lustrous Acanthite crystals while in Denver
and they are quite the sight to see. Most if not all display some hoppering indicating a very quick
formation as the Acanthite pseudomorphed the higher temperature Argentite. Exceptional crystal!

Gorgeous crystals of deep golden-brown Smoky Quartz along a Microcline crystal on Albite!
This is from a locality I haven't seen before, Strzegom, Poland. The Smoky Quartz crystals are
a deep golden-brown color with gemmy interiors beneath glassy-lustrous surfaces. About half a
dozen Smoky crystals are in this cluster, all of which are terminated. Alongside the Smoky Quartz
on the left edge is a 3.5 cm absolutely pristine Microcline crystal! Both sit atop white Albite matrix.

MIN#TUCSON2018-198 NEW!

Tremendous plate featuring fine dendrites of Native Silver with Acanthite and Safflorite accenting!
This is a wonderful display piece from the classic Cobalt Mining District and is literally covered from one
end to the other with large dendritic structures of Native Silver. A peppering of grey Safflorite covers much of the
dendrites as does Acanthite drusy. This is incredible rich specimen and the display is beautifully presented atop white
Calcite covered surface. Much more impressive in person due to the difficulty of photographing sparkling surfaces.
From the Castle Mine, Haultain Township, Cobalt-Gowganda Region, Timiskaming District, Ontario, Canada.
Measures 10.2 cm by 12.5 cm by 3.9 cm in total size.

Impressive specimen featuring reddish-orange Vanadinite crystals measuring to over 1.3 cm in size!
