Spectacular LARGE CABINET sized plate of Horn Rhodochrosite!
Beautifully polished on both the front and back sides to fully display the rich color and amazing number
of rings (there are literally dozens of rings)! The color and patterning is stunning and the size of this plate
is so rare that you almost never see these available in the marketplace. Large Rhodo stalactite horn cross
sections like this one were mined decades ago and most came out in the 1930's. This specimen has been held
in a private European collection for years and just recently came to market in Tucson. I sold another plate of
similar size last year and while this specimen has smaller rings, it has many more of them inside the larger
rings near the exterior. The plate also features a complete rind all the way around on three of the four sides.
A unique opportunity to add a museum sized and quality Horn Rhodo to your collection. In excellent condition.
Note: This spectacular plate is completely translucent to light and glows like a charm when back lighted.
From the Capillitas Mine, Andalgala, Catamarca, Argentina.
Measures 24.8 cm by 38 cm by 1 cm in size.

The "Silver Seahorse"
Aesthetic display of Native Silver crystals climbing atop one another with Calcite!
This fine specimen is from the world famous Kongsberg locality and it has all the
presence of a larger Silver at an affordable price. The crystals have a lovely antiquish
patina and a good amount of surface luster. They are intermingled with greyish Calcite
which can be seen near the center, covered by additional smaller crystals of Native Silver.
I named this specimen the Silver Seahorse and I think the photo shows the resemblance.
From the Kongsberg Silver Mining District, Svene, Flesberg, Buskerud, Norway.
Measures 5.2 cm by 3.9 cm by 2.1 cm in total size.

MIN#TUCSON2017-103 NEW!

Exceptional large cabinet plate featuring Quartz epimorphs after Calcite crystals with Fluorite and a huge enhydro!
This large, museum quality plate is a sight to see! There are nearly a dozen Quartz epimorphs after Calcite crystals on the
sparkling Quartz matrix with purple-lavender Fluorite accents highlighting the upper edges of each epimorph. The crystal
habits are sharp and perfectly preserved and one of the hollow epimorphs, the doubly terminated crystal in the middle and
in the close up photo is host to a huge enhydro! There must be several tablespoons worth of water trapped inside the crystal
and it rolls back and forth noticeably when the specimen is tilted side to side. It's amazing to see and the darker portions of
the crystal in the close up photo are the enhydro. And if all that weren't enough, there's a gorgeous line of lavender zoned,
purple Fluorite cubes running down the right side of the matrix from top to bottom. This is a plate that is in excellent shape
with no detractions and enough eye appeal for several specimens of equal size. I've never seen another like it anywhere.
From the Xiefang Mine, Ruijin Co., Ganzhou Prefecture, Jiangxi Province, China.
Measures 26 cm by 36.4 cm by 8.2 cm in total size.

Gemmy, glowing crystal of Beryl var. Heliodor!
One of the finest crystals I've seen in recent years, this specimen is terminated at both ends and displays
an intense golden interior through transparent surroundings. The crystal is lustrous-gemmy with excellent
color saturation and the surfaces display the typical light natural etching this locality is famous for. Circa 1980's.

Amazing combination specimen of translucent Getchellite on Stibnite with Orpiment!
This is a beautiful example of a very rare mineral combination. The mirror-lustrous Getchellite blades
sit atop the Stibnites and at the base of both are bright orange crystal clusters of Orpiment. The red crystals
freestanding along the very top are very impressive and complete. Getchellite is already a rare mineral and
a combination with Orpiment and Stibnite is something you just won't see at the shows. Flashy and colorful!

Gorgeous crystals of burgundy-red Roselite on Dolomite!
The color of these crystals is among my favorites in the mineral world. The crystals are gemmy and bright
with an internal glow. I call these crystals burgundy-red although some may consider them purplish-red or
even raspberry. Regardless, they are incredibly beautiful and all are in excellent shape atop the Hematite
colored Dolomite covered matrix. The Roselite crystals range to .8 cm in size and many are doubly terminated.
From the Aghbar Mine, Bou Azer District, Tazenakht, Ouarzazate Province, Drâa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco.

Cobalt rarity! Native Silver wires on Quartz in matrix!
Wires of Native Silver are extremely rare from the Cobalt Region and I've only
seen a handful of specimens in the past decade or two. These wires are popping out
from the Quartz seam that runs between the layers of matrix and wires are visible on
both sides of the specimen. The weight of this piece is quite heavy, indicating a large
amount of Silver in running through the Quartz. There are wires present on both sides.
From the Penn Canadian Mine (Glen Lake Mine), Cobalt-Gowganda Region, Timiskaming Dist., Ontario, Canada.
Measures 8.2 cm by 5.4 cm by 3 cm in total size.

MIN#TUCSON2017-110 NEW!

Very aesthetic specimen featuring a pristine Okenite crystal ball on orange stained Zeolite matrix!
This is one of my favorite Okenite specimens that I've seen recently. The structure of the matrix pocket
is slightly concave and has done its job well, protecting the fragile 4 cm Okenite acicular ball. There also
appears to be a white Gyrolite crystal ball to the lower right of the Okenite. The orange matrix really sets
off the bright white Okenite ball and makes the specimen pop! In excellent condition and very nice.
From the Pune District (Poonah District), Maharashtra, India.
Measures 6 cm by 7.9 cm by 5.3 cm in total size.

Beautiful combination plate featuring lavender Fluorite with Schorl Tourmaline on Quartz crystals!
This amazing specimen is from the Erongo Mountains in Namibia and I can't recall seeing any others like it
before. The modified Fluorite crystals are large, measuring to 4.2 cm in size, and are mostly lavender with some
purplish accenting along the high points. They sit alongside a cluster of shiny Schorl Tourmaline crystals and these
are also scattered about as single crystals atop the Quartz crystal point covered matrix. In excellent condition.

MIN#TUCSON2017-112 NEW!

Aethetic "rabbit ears" Calcite crystals on matrix with smaller Calcites!
This is a unique specimen from the famous Charcas locality and I've not seen another one like it
in two decades worth of mineral shows. On either side of the matrix are elongated, tabular-like crystals
of white Calcite measuring close to 7.5 cm and 8 cm in size. While the Calcite on the right is glassy and
translucent, the Calcite on the left is included by white poker-chip style Calcite crystals, which by the way,
can also be seen near the upper middle portion between the "rabbit ears". This is an interesting specimen
to say the least and the combination of Calcite habits is eye catching. In excellent condition with few contacts.

From Charcas, Mun. de Charcas, San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
Measures 9.5 cm by 12 cm by 4.8 cm in total size.

Rare specimen of Quartz var. Amethyst crystals from Australia!
Rarely do I encounted a specimen of Amethyst from Australia and this specimen is a classic
cluster of seven crystals from the famous Wyloo Station locality which is one of the few areas
in Western Australia where Amethyst can be found. This specimen dates back several decades
and displays highly glassy faces and complete tips with barely a contact anywhere. There is some
obvious phantoming just beneath the lustrous surfaces. A lovely specimen that displays very well.

MIN#TUCSON2017-117 NEW!

Exceptional specimen of sharp, lustrous twinned crystals of Galena on matrix from Tsumeb!
This would easily rank as one of the finest Tsumeb Galena specimens I've seen recently.
The crystals are sharp and well defined, measuring to 1.6 cm in size. The surfaces have a
shiny luster and there is a slight reddish iridescence. Galenas of this quality from Tsmeb are
incredibly rare and the specimen is so high quality that it looks more like something you'd
find in the Tri-State Region than a mine in Namibia. In excellent condition with no detractions.
