MIN#TUCSON2017-101 NEW!

Dazzling specimen of crystalline Native Gold rising up from white Quartz matrix!
This is easily one of the finest, most graceful and aesthetic Golds I've ever seen or offered! It is
totally crystalline in structure with dendrites, octahedrons, spinels, and more, all situated around a
central towering spire of pure brilliance. Near the top, the specimen becomes very arborescent and
takes on the appearance of a golden castle atop a mountain. The structure is an amazing sight under
magnification and has enough going on to keep someone occupied for quite some time. The surfaces
are super bright with a brilliant luster and flash from top the bottom. The specimen could actually be
displayed from either side as both are attractive with an equal amount of white Quartz at the base.
From the Eagle's Nest Mine, Placer County, California.
Measures 10 cm by 5.7 cm by 5.2 cm in total size.

Beautiful and unique specimen of Rhodochrosite with a coating of Silica on Sphalerite and Quartz!
This specimen reminds me of a Rhodochrosite I once owned that was from the Sunnyside Mine near Silverton.
Both specimens had impressive, deeply colored Rhodo rhombs with a fine coating of light golden Silica covering
the top and back side faces. This is the only specimen of this variety that I have ever seen from the Sweet Home
Mine and I know of no other in existence so I consider this piece to be unique. The Rhodochrosite rhombs are
well formed with a lovely strawberry-red coloration. They measure to 2.5 cm in size across the corners and
exhibit a flashy, glassy luster across the exposed crystal faces. The rhombs sit atop a matrix of Sphalerite with
Chalcopyrite, Hubnerite, and of course, Quartz needles. The lightly colored coating makes the piece special
in my opinion and only adds to the beauty. To me it looks like a winter scene with newly fallen snow over
Rhodochrosite and the specimen is in excellent condition with no detractions. There are some tiny matrix
cracks on the back side but these have been professionally stabilized and are completely invisible from the
front viewing side. This specimen was formally on display at the 2002 East Coast Gem and Mineral Show.
From the Collector's Pocket, 2nd Crosscut, Sweet Home Mine, Alma, Colorado.
Measures 12 cm by 7 cm by 2.9 cm in total size.

MIN#TUCSON2017-103 NEW!

Exceptional combo featuring a large, gemmy-golden Calcite perched atop an even larger Galena cube with Chalcopyrite!
What a specimen this is! A Tri-State classic combo that is both large and super aesthetic. The golden Calcite crystal
is gemmy with a superb glassy-luster that flows from one end to the other. The left tip features a textbook termination
while the right side is a flattened, matrix influenced surface. The Calcite terminated against a flat matrix here, possibly
another Galena cube. The Calcite measures just shy of 9 cm in width. It sits atop a large Galena cube that measures
better than 10.5 cm across the corners. The Galena is complete on ALL sides with a secondary pyramidal crystallization
atop the front and top faces. Sparkling crystals of golden Chalcopyrite settled in between the pyramids, adding both color
and texture contrast to the front and top surfaces. The back side Galena face is smooth and mirror-lustrous. The only
point of attachment that is visible is on the very bottom where some Dolomite is embedded in the mirror-like Galena
surface there. Otherwise, this cube would be a complete floater. A gorgeous display piece with few surface contacts.
From the Joplin Field, Tri-State District, Jasper County, Missouri.
Measures 12.8 cm by 10 cm by 11.4 cm in total size.

Exceptional Native Wire Silver with Acanthite accenting and Chalcopyrite micro-crystals!
This is by far the finest Wire Silver specimen I've seen or offered from this classic German locality. This area of
Germany has been mined for Silver since the 15th century. The base of the specimen is a twisting nest of Silver wires,
Acanthite and Chalcopyrite. Rising up from this solid foundation are numerous wires of Native Silver ranging from
thick to thin. All are firm and quite sturdy - there are no flimsy, wispy wires here! The aesthetics of this specimen
are superb and the luster and striations are off the charts. I would rate this as one of my finest German Silvers.

Absolutely gorgeous specimen featuring a cluster of gemmy, purple zoned, lavender Fluorite cubes set alongisde Quartz crystals!
This is a specimen with a lot of wow factor and it is as close to perfect as I've seen in a long time. The lavender Fluorites display
modified edges and they are all super glassy and lustrous with transparency all the way down to their purple phantomed cores.
The three main Quartz points that rise above the Fluorite cluster to the right are all terminated and clear with the tallest Quartz
actually displaying a small Fluorite included inside its tip! With flash and sparkle and Pyrite accents, this is a true centerpiece.

Cobalt rarity! Native Silver wires on Quartz in matrix!
Wires of Native Silver are extremely rare from the Cobalt Region and I've only
seen a handful of specimens in the past decade or two. These wires are popping out
from the Quartz seam that runs between the layers of matrix and wires are visible on
both sides of the specimen. The weight of this piece is quite heavy, indicating a large
amount of Silver in running through the Quartz. There are wires present on both sides.

ULTRA RARE!! Incredible specimen Featuring a Native Silver "fan" perched atop Native Copper included Calcite crystals!
Also with Native Copper, these specimens are the Holy Grail of Michigan Silver specimens. I've seen two in the last 20 years
and this is by far the finest. Mindat.org has none listed in their database so the rarity of this combination cannot be understated.
The Silver fan sits atop three gemmy tipped, pink Calcites and is visible from both sides since it is positioned perfectly in the
top center. Small Silver dendrites can be seen around the base of the fan and a second, smaller Silver fan is located on the
back side. Native Copper includes all the Calcite crystals and is also present near the center and along the bottom of the
specimen. In excellent condition, this rare specimen is from the obscure Baltic Mine which is quite scarce in its own right.

Super glassy, vibrant blue crystals of Azurite with Malachite along the edges!
Easily some of the finest Azurites to ever come to market, the Milpillas find has been one for the record books.
These crystals display mind blowing luster and glow under direct lighting. The terminations are complete and the contacts
are very few and trivial. This is one of the things I always check for in a Milpillas specimen because so many have broken
tips. The largest crystal here is around 2 cm in length and every crystal is incredibly sharp and unbelievably lustrous. One
might even describe the luster as blinding. Near the top left, several Azurite crystals have climbed atop one another, forming
a small stalactite-like structure. In excellent condition, this cabinet sized plate is as pristine as they come. Simply spectacular!

Spectacular LARGE CABINET sized plate of Horn Rhodochrosite!
Beautifully polished on both the front and back sides to fully display the rich color and amazing number
of rings (there are literally dozens of rings)! The color and patterning is stunning and the size of this plate
is so rare that you almost never see these available in the marketplace. Large Rhodo stalactite horn cross
sections like this one were mined decades ago and most came out in the 1930's. This specimen has been held
in a private European collection for years and just recently came to market in Tucson. I sold another plate of
similar size last year and while this specimen has smaller rings, it has many more of them inside the larger
rings near the exterior. The plate also features a complete rind all the way around on three of the four sides.
A unique opportunity to add a museum sized and quality Horn Rhodo to your collection. In excellent condition.
Note: This spectacular plate is completely translucent to light and glows like a charm when back lighted.

The "Silver Seahorse"
Aesthetic display of Native Silver crystals climbing atop one another with Calcite!
This fine specimen is from the world famous Kongsberg locality and it has all the
presence of a larger Silver at an affordable price. The crystals have a lovely antiquish
patina and a good amount of surface luster. They are intermingled with greyish Calcite
which can be seen near the center, covered by additional smaller crystals of Native Silver.
I named this specimen the Silver Seahorse and I think the photo shows the resemblance.

MIN#TUCSON2017-112 NEW!

Exceptional large cabinet plate featuring Quartz epimorphs after Calcite crystals with Fluorite and a huge enhydro!
This large, museum quality plate is a sight to see! There are nearly a dozen Quartz epimorphs after Calcite crystals on the
sparkling Quartz matrix with purple-lavender Fluorite accents highlighting the upper edges of each epimorph. The crystal
habits are sharp and perfectly preserved and one of the hollow epimorphs, the doubly terminated crystal in the middle and
in the close up photo is host to a huge enhydro! There must be several tablespoons worth of water trapped inside the crystal
and it rolls back and forth noticeably when the specimen is tilted side to side. It's amazing to see and the darker portions of
the crystal in the close up photo are the enhydro. And if all that weren't enough, there's a gorgeous line of lavender zoned,
purple Fluorite cubes running down the right side of the matrix from top to bottom. This is a plate that is in excellent shape
with no detractions and enough eye appeal for several specimens of equal size. I've never seen another like it anywhere.

The "Silver Scorpian"
Super bright and lustrous Native Silver after Allargentum and Dyscrasite on Calcite!

A dazzling specimen which is completely crystalline and extremely aesthetic. I nicknamed it "The Scorpion" due to its
interesting shape which I think resembles the claws and tail of a scorpion. The specimen can be displayed from either
side and displays the sharp crystals on both the front and back. The structure is dendritic which well formed crystals at
the ends and forming a good portion of the dendrite. The stark white Calcite and green matrix adds the perfect backdrop.

freestanding along the very top are very impressive and complete. Getchellite is already a rare mineral and
a combination with Orpiment and Stibnite is something you just won't see at the shows. Flashy and colorful!

Very aesthetic specimen featuring a pristine Okenite crystal ball on orange stained Zeolite matrix!
This is one of my favorite Okenite specimens that I've seen recently. The structure of the matrix pocket
is slightly concave and has done its job well, protecting the fragile 4 cm Okenite acicular ball. There also
appears to be a white Gyrolite crystal ball to the lower right of the Okenite. The orange matrix really sets
off the bright white Okenite ball and makes the specimen pop! In excellent condition and very nice.

This would easily rank as one of the finest Tsumeb Galena specimens I've seen recently.
The crystals are sharp and well defined, measuring to 1.6 cm in size. The surfaces have a
shiny luster and there is a slight reddish iridescence. Galenas of this quality from Tsmeb are

bottom terminations. The Calcite crystal sitting upright in the center measures 6 cm in size and displays a
wonderful multi-stepped top face over a semi-transparent interior. It sits atop a horizontal Calcite which
